*Trey flubbed the lyrics. **Began as “Maze,” with Trey making the eerie guitar noises. Then the band stopped, looked around at each other, and went into “Bowie”. #With “Stash” teases.

I like the first set better than the second methinks. Buried Alive is one of my favorite openers and the Bathtub Gin is smokin. A lot of fancy guitar work from Trey as he dances around the harmonies Page and Mike are creating…good shit. The Ya Mar also sounds extra tight for some reason and is followed by a trio of new tunes. I love Brian and Robert on the album but it’s just so hard for them to pull it off live. Still, Frankie Says is always a treat for me to hear and then they close the set with a great, dark David Bowie.

The second set starts off with a promising Jim, but then the energy is just sort of lacking for the rest. There are some good moments in the Piper jam, but they eventually just take their foot off the gas so to speak and make a spacey transition into 2001. Then they just phone it in for the rest of the show.
