This show fuckin rooooolz. Wish I could have stayed out east in between Hampton and Worcester.

^ You just love it for the Zero.

:open_mouth:

Always waiting for the Zero that tops this Zero.

17 minute Tweezer opener, crunchy.

a birthday show i wasn’t at…

helluva show too

never.

^ 13 years and 3000 versions later this one still reigns!

Yeah this Zero wins every time

not to mention the silky smooth segue between 2001 and Cities! Love this show. Probably my favorite Taste ever. Seriously underlooked show here.

Agreed, though the show does have some awkward moments toward the end. I love the Tweezer opener and the Gumbo funk sandwich. Other first set highlights are the out-of-this-world SOAM and Taste.

The first time I listened to the tape of this second set I had to rewind it once they got to 2001 because I had no idea how they had gotten from Character Zero to there. I was convinced I was just really high and missed the song in the middle. But nope. Pure genius right there. They do one 2001 ‘verse’ before they just jam it on into Cities. This whole second set is about the segues. All save for the transition into PYITE are flawless and well contrived. The Poor Heart, Tweezer Reprise, and Cavern are all really sloppy but meh…doesn’t ruin the show IMO.
