Great Timber and the Ghost from this show is one if my personal favorites, Ghost lovers may want to give it a listen. A soundboard of this show circulates as well.

The Ghost is a sick piece of Phish, Fall '97, and Ghosts in general. I love when they bring it down whisper quiet before bringing the YEM/Foxy Lady sounding theme back in force.

This show iz goot. The Curtain bustout (first in 57 shows) is nice to open, but it’s a bit sloppy. The YEM that follows makes up for it though. Dance party for sure. The Maze is fucking wild and the rest of the set, though at face value looks meh, rages. The BEK’s for the last half of this tour are just something special.

I love this second set. The Timber Ho! to open is nice and spooky, but still funky…just the ways i likes it. The Slave is pretty slow, but makes for some really nice ear candy. As it has been said, this Ghost is fucking top notch. Sooooo sexy. IMO it rivals the Denver Ghost…not better, but it’s as good. Then Trey absolutely destroys that guitar during JBG. Good way to start a three-night run.

I think I’m in the minority who likes this Ghost more. Objectively, the Denver Ghost covers more ground and also includes that melodic soaring jam but sheeeiiiiit, funk like this should be illegal. Wouldn’t be surprised if some babies were born 9 months to this date. I’m also a fan here of the slowed down Slave. The mellow energy carries into the jam, making the improv build in a more empathetic fashion.

This is hands down my favorite Ghost and I will take this one over the Denver Ghost (which is still fantastic) everytime.

I would say that this Ghost is definitely sexier, while the one from Denver has that soaring, feel-good vibe to it. I don’t prefer one over the other, they both make we want to hump stuff.

Well said, that about sums it up!

LOL!

Revisiting this show tonight, as I’m feeling nostalgic for some fall indoor Phish.

I’ve never seen The Curtain. I would love to. Mike has some great effects going on during that YEM (2nd song 1st set, really?!)

2nd set is everything I would ever want in life.

That is all.

WOOOOOOOOOSTAHHHH!!!
