I’m pretty sure this is still my favorite Phish show of the 42 I’ve seen. That was a freaking crazy night.

Good Times Bad Times was still “fresh” for me at that point…

:stuck_out_tongue:

Fall tour under your belt…still your favorite that you’ve seen?

If I had seen this, it’d probably be #1 in my book. I even like ABM.

still #1…I think

I believe what Trey screamed was “Million Dollar Bill” and “Crosby Stills”. At least that’s what it sounds like :-).

This show was the last time I ate L…totally lost my shit. Sick show though.

I always thought it was “put a dolla bill”

and then the 2nd one is definitely “Crosby Stills”

I’ve definitely heard “dolla bill” or some variation but beyond that I have no clue.

Crosby Stills, lol.

who knows what Trey was saying, he was coked out of his mind during that run…

And likely every run after that.

Except Vegas.

Haha. Yes, except Vegas. Those were easily the worst shows I have seen.

This show was a prime example of the band and crowd feeding off each other. Opening Piper is one of the best I’ve seen live. From the 8:40 mark through 14:10 Trey starts to shred it and the band really compliments his playing well. Foam is always welcome in the first set!

The meat of this show resides in the second set. Each song keeps building on the last until the crowd just erupts for a full minute after Free concludes. I didn’t think it could get any louder in there, until they started up Divided Sky. Great closer in GTBT that again left the crowd yelling for more. When Waste started up it wasn’t as well received, given how highly energetic the second set was, but the crowd stepped up in the end and really showed their appreciation. The band knew they couldn’t call it a night so they came back out for a second encore in Squirming Coil. Not a big rocker but still a great song to close out the night. It was only night 2 of 4, they had to conserve some energy for the rest of the run!
