Notes: The P.A. cut out during Camel Walk. My Friend did not contain the “Myfe” ending. Lyric in Fluffhead changed from “Fluff came to my door” to “Fluff came to New York” in a nod to the venue.

It truly seemed that the audio issue during Camel Walk was a PLANNED Silent Jam!!!

I saw Trey talk to Mike right when the song began and Mike said something to Fish…Fish was playing Ghost Notes on his kit (if the PA had gone out he would have been the loudest person on the stage) and I had a perfect view of Page and it looked like he was barley touching his keys…

Maze and Gin are the HEAT!!!

Tweezer had major Manteca Jam…

Light was insanity!

Keith got his Boggie On!!!

Encore was top notch!!!

on the soundboard there is no cutoff in camel walk, plus they were having problems with the sound system all night before the show…

furthermore…boogie on > 2001 was one of my favorite phish moments of this year, just so much funk

The static before the show almost blew my ears out…

Yeah man I thought so too. I saw Trey say something to Mike too, and it looked like Fish laughed when Mike told him (but I could have imagined that part). But yeah, my friends pointed out that you could still hear their amps on stage, but I never thought about Fishman. I also had a great view of Page, but I couldn’t tell whether he was touching his keys lightly. One other thing too: Kuroda instantly matched the fact that it was silent with crazy-ass lights, which is actually why I thought it was planned in the first place.

Anyway, no words to describe this show. I could try to describe it, but you should just go listen to it. The playing is incredible. This shit is just so surreal to me, it’s too good to be true. First trip to the Garden, staying across the street, I can see the main entrance from my hotel window. Holy shit.

Great meeting a few OKP folks tonight, including Pei-Yi, Judson, Bill, Keith (and his wife), and a few others (sorry if I’m forgetting people, that place was a total clusterfuck). Anyways, I should go to bed, seeing as how it’s five in the morning. Greatest thing is I get to do it again tomorrow. Except it’s THREE sets!

The stream was insane. What a couch tour show. Wow…

Loved it and felt like I was there… Wow, yeah.

Love Phish.

Love people of the OKP.

What else is there to say?

Loved this show. Great opening section. Maze really brought the heat in the first set. Fat Man in the Bathtub Gin was really cool. Timber was another shorter version. Golgi>Zero was pretty rippin too.

The Tweezer was damn impressive live. I haven’t had a chance to hear it yet, but there was definatly some Manteca action going on there. Light was great to hear. After MFMF take your pick. The show took off until the end of Suzy. Antelope was an unexpected, but wonderful closer for sure!! Mike dropped serious bombs during Tweezer Reprise, and I went home with a huge smile on my face. :sunglasses:

Watched via my couch, and all I’ve got to say is the show was fantastic. Personally I liked set I more than II but thats just my preferance because I haven’t seen cities, gumbo, Quinn, or Timber in a very long time. I know they’ve played them recently but I missed the show or recording :sunglasses: . To all those who will be there tonight have a blast for the thousands who wish they could be there with you  .

*Forgot to mention Maze is slowly becoming one of my favorite songs  *

I agree. This is one of those rare Set 1 >>>>> Set 2 type shows. As much as I think the Tweezer was THE highlight of the show (nowhere near as crazy as the last one they played, but still awesome), I also think the rest of the highlights were in set 1. I don’t know what it was, but the second set just didn’t flow right to me. I definitely called that Light, to Erin anyway, but is it just me or was that one of the worst Lights ever? I don’t know why, but it just never really seemed to click anywhere during the jam. I thought Trey kind of looked frustrated at some point before kicking into Theme.

A whole lotta covers played last night, but most of them blew my fucking socks off. Cities, Fat Man, Timber, Quinn, Boogie, ASZ…all played to perfection…maybe not ASZ, but the rest of them for sure.

Can’t wait to see what tonight has in store. I’ll probably only be able to catch set 1 and maybe part of seet 2 before I go out, but I’ve never hoped so much for a crippling snow storm.

Anyone notice that they haven’t played a single gamehenge song yet in the first thre nights of this new years run? I’m not saying it’s coming tonight, but I think I’m getting very envious of those people going to 1/1/11.

That actually happened? I thought that was just a recording/streaming malfunction. Yeah, that almost blew my ears out sitting at home…I can’t imagine how loud that would have actually been.

^ Yeah it was 3 really loud static blasts, they were playing with the lights a lot pre-show as well. As far as Gamhenge goes, they played Possum up in Worcester. Go figure. I just want a Forbins>Mockingbird

^ Ah, but Possum doesn’t count. They didn’t play it as part of Gamehenge in '93 or '94.

^ See thats what i thought as well. I’ve only ever listened to Gamehendge from 93/94 so when someone said possum I thought I was going crazy  :open_mouth:

Im pretty sure they will play some GH tonight, but if they don’t, who the hell knows what we are in store for on 1/1/11. Could be pretty epic

^^ Yeah your right. I always use my point of reference as the original TMWSIY.

I definitely wouldn’t say worst Light ever. Yeah, the jam did kind of stay in one place for a while but it wasn’t a bad or sloppy jam, imo. I thought the segues out of Tweezer and Light were quite choice, as well. :sunglasses:

check the tape THE tape. possum is most def gamehenge.

PYITE, Bag opener for 12/31. No 2011 Gamehendge. :stuck_out_tongue:

Possum’s on the thesis tape … but come on it’s never been performed as part of it really. It’s just an afterthought at the end of that first tape. Who’s with me!!!

PYITE is like a sequel tune, like Llama is … it’s not part of the original sequence.

Come ON people. It’s AC/DC Bag & Wilson that makes it um … highly unlikely, yet still minutely possible that there’ll be a 1.1.11 Gamehenge … !

Depends what movie’s on TV.

We need a what’s left list for this run though. Howza bout that Forbin’s either way huh?

Possum’s place in gamehenge

It offers a strange moral: Icculus considers all that’s happened in Gamehendge, offers a slogan to consider (“ain’t no truth in action unless you believe it anyway”) and describes the roadside demise of a possum. Aside from “Col. Forbin’s Ascent,” this is Icculus’s only direct speech in the Gamehendge saga.)

I have always felt this way.

I see the above on Wikipedia, but I also see this:

"Possum (a non-Gamehendge song written by original Phish guitarist Jeff Holdsworth and later entered into the story by Anastasio with altered lyrics to fit the Gamehendge theme. "
