I still can’t believe they opened with Fluffhead. Neil and I were waaaayyyyyy up close, on the floor Page-side for that…
epic in every sense of the word.
It’s strange…we were indeed up close and when Trey started “Fluffhead” I just went into complete shock mode. Hank grabbed me and started shaking me saying “Can you believe it!!!” and I just sort of stood there like a doof.
It’s not because I wasn’t excited, it’s because I really actually couldn’t believe it.
nice call! my friend that i’ve been going to see phish for the longest predicted it too. i managed to get him a ticket to the friday show at the last minute. was so glad he was there for it when they played those opening chords. i don’t know anyone else who picked fluff as their first choice.

If the Fluffhead is forced, and Mike isn’t onboard, I don’t think it’s as special. I feel that Mike’s solo is the compound that blows minds and is a fair barometer of how “epic” that Fluffhead was. Of Camden '99, and Oswego. I pick Camden(my first) as the greater version. It took me 7 years to get 1, then 6 shows later another 1! I was a little vaklempt for the 1st and possibly underwhelmed by the next 1. Mike went off in New Jersey! He was obviously having fun. I better download and reasses. *goes to the tree
