As far as i know Antelope has NEVER been the 1st set opener. So that may be why no person has suggested so. If they do open with it then Kudos to you Nostradamus!
Antelope is a great idea, but I just feel like its going to have to be something that gets into “it” quickly, in a loud way.
if not, the whole intro to the song will be drowned out by crowd noise.
this is why Chalkdust makes the most sense. They’ve opened Hampton in '03 and '04 with it, after all.

i said first tube earlier and i still think it would be a good high energy song to kick it off. the only reason i think not is because they might wanna go for a 100% phish song. something that wasn’t related to any side projects.

I honestly don’t think it is going to be some crazy-ass bustout, or even a semi-rarity.
It’s going to be an old, reliable fan-favorite that will set the tone for the evening, as well as make a statement on their return to the stage as a group.
That said, my guesses would lean towards “Chalkdust,” “Free,” “Piper,” “Moma Dance,” or “Down With Disease.”
