Wasn’t their 1st song ever a cover? Yes. Since October nobody has predicted it. Hopefully now that it’s been exposed they will go with something different. I got a big Told jah soforYa if it happens again.

I don’t think Fluffhead is out of the realm of possibilities. Sure, it’s a difficult piece, and they might want to warm up with something easier first. If they’ve been practicing enough, though, then the song’s difficulty shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
I think the main reason it is a more than a remote possibility is the “cult status” that Fluffhead has (mainly amongst noobs, I’ll admit, after the fluffhead chant at IT and the subsequent “Mike Says No” line), and I could see Phish recognizing that and wanting to do it to start things off.

If the Fluffhead is forced, and Mike isn’t onboard, I don’t think it’s as special. I feel that Mike’s solo is the compound that blows minds and is a fair barometer of how “epic” that Fluffhead was. Of Camden '99, and Oswego. I pick Camden(my first) as the greater version. It took me 7 years to get 1, then 6 shows later another 1! I was a little vaklempt for the 1st and possibly underwhelmed by the next 1. Mike went off in New Jersey! He was obviously having fun. I better download and reasses. *goes to the tree

As a lucky person to have seen Fluff many times (saw one at my first show in 92), I hope they don’t open with it. I have been thinking alot about what the first song will be. I’m thinking a Tweezer to open Fri. and closing Sun. with tweezer reprise! Or an AC/DC bag to kick it off.
