I already posted predictions in this thread a while ago, but as I jam to the boys here, a couple more possible openers come to mind.
I had read Mr. Miner’s thoughts about a TUBE opener, and on those lines I thought about how cool it would be if they opened with either of these two songs:

GOLGI - or - RIFT

Golgi opener would be like the fierceness of 12.31.94 combined with the great fortune that those in attendance could wig out as they sang “I saw you, with a ticket stub in your hand!”. That and it’s one of the first songs Trey ever wrote, and it would be a testament to it’s awesomeness if it’s the song they chose to open with.

Rift would be a hyper way of correcting the massive fuckup of Curtain With from Coventry. And of course the line “it shocked and persuaded my soul to ignite” would blow the roof off the mothership.

Antelope is a great idea, but I just feel like its going to have to be something that gets into “it” quickly, in a loud way.

if not, the whole intro to the song will be drowned out by crowd noise.

this is why Chalkdust makes the most sense. They’ve opened Hampton in '03 and '04 with it, after all.

I think the main reason it is a more than a remote possibility is the “cult status” that Fluffhead has (mainly amongst noobs, I’ll admit, after the fluffhead chant at IT and the subsequent “Mike Says No” line), and I could see Phish recognizing that and wanting to do it to start things off.
