Come on people. If a lot of people were sitting on their fat asses tuning into the boob-tube, that’s at least some indication that something good was on. Hence the possibility that 2008 was the best sports year ever (it’s up there, but I’m not willing to say “best” ever, I don’t think).
tons of good moments on that list. that Tiger Woods US Open was really something special to watch. I’m glad I tuned in to see that, but my theory is, if the Redskins haven’t won the Super Bowl, then there is no way that it could possibly be the greatest year in sports. i’m sure you all agree with that point.

I don’t buy it…ratings don’t mean crap to me. The NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs, March Madness and especially the MLB playoffs were all total duds this in 2008. Plus the National Title game in football was terrible. Just because a lot of folks watch something doesn’t mean it’s any good. I remember 2004 being pretty cool but I’d have to look it up…
And how could Rocco/Tiger be greatest watched of all time?..no one saw it!! I was at work during the whole bloody thing! Perhaps it was “most-watched” because it was on a Monday and the only thing against it was soap operas.
