Maybe it’s me, but ain’t the Dodgers incorporating AL elements to beat the NL. Since we know that the AL is about a billion times better, just a few AL players are enough to beat the best team in the NL. Manny, Casey Blake are big AL hitters and Joe Torre is an AL manager…none of that small-ball, switch-pitchers-every-hitter crap. The second that team traded for Manny, the NL team they played in the first round was done. Sadly (or not so sadly) the Cubs were that team.
Oh well…here’s to another year of “this team is different” and “this is our year” articles. Should be a joy.
Good work by the Phillies though there should have been a way for both teams to lose since neither deserves to be in any conference championship game. Good lord. You could probably put the Tigers in that league and they would have beaten either team in in 4 games or less.
