and i gotta be honest when I say that i’ve never considered myself a Rays fan (still don’t) living in another part of the state and all, and i do like the Red Sox. But that was pretty cool to see them win the pennant like that. The push over team winning for the first time- at home taboot. A fitting end to a wild series. Surely one that deserved a game 7.
should be a fun world series to watch. I will be pulling for the Rays in that one though.
Ahhhhh!! touche devil rays… go get the Phills I reckon. This game screamed trouble the Alex Cora was starting, Tek didn’t get pinch hit for and Jacoby didn’t pr for papi late, Id hate to be tito tommorow but this series would have been different with a healthy Lowell at third and Youk playin first and Mark Kotsay playing gold… Sometimes it comes together at the end and sometimes it just manages to blow up in the end. I must say I see the sox in 3rd next year…Tampa good young all still cheap, Yanks 100 mill worth of payrole to play with
Oh yes…I see plenty of him as he kills the Tigers multiple times a year. I especially love when he breaths out and lets his lips do that motor-boat wiggle thing. And he does it every pitch. Just cracks me up every time.
What’s funny is I forgot about the start of last night’s Rays game until on Sunday Night Football, Al Michaels said “That cheering you hear is the Tampa fans happy that the Rays have tied the game.” I immediately flipped to the baseball game…nice of Al Michaels to kill his viewership there. Anyway, a GREAT game which high drama in those last few innings…I kept waiting for that BIG Red Sawks hit to tie the game (and you knew the Rays weren’t scoring another run) and it never came. Good job, Rays.
I would think the Rays could do good in Philly’s stadium. They seem to thrive on home-runs and boy, it sure is easy to crank them out in Philly. We’ll have to see if the Rays get under the big lights and totally crack under the pressure but I doubt it…the pitching is too good.

Looks like it’s going to be a good series. My allegiances are split. I should be going for the Rays for several reasons besides the fact they’re the AL team, but I love Philadelphia as a city for several reasons, some of them Phishy in nature, so could just as easily root for the Phillies.
I wonder if I could be neutral and just root for good baseball playing from each team.

I heard Chalkdust a few times over the summer during Yankee games on Fox. Didn’t notice it, or Widespread Panic during the playoffs, though.
