2008 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.

Yeah USC screwed me and I should have saw it coming. They have been inconsistent all year, as has K-State for that matter. I was just hoping for Belmont to pull of that upset against Duke. Would have loved to see that. It was a pretty lackluster first day with no real upsets unless you call USC losing, which I don’t and a 9 seed in Texas A & M beat 8 seed BYU.

What the hell happened to Winthrop in the second half? They laid an egg.

Damn I wish Belmont would have pulled that off. Great game.

And Neil, your Boilermakers looked pretty fucking impressive

That 11-point margin was not a true reflection of the beat down Baylor suffered.

If Purdue had played Xavier yesterday, Purdue would have won. Xavier looked completely average against Georgia. Saturday’s game should be a great one.

jeez Neil, can’t you just take praise when praise is given

ALL PRAISE NEIL!!!

15 out of 16 picks so far for me.
:sunglasses:

Yeah, I’ve already lost 2 Sweet 16 teams.

Hey, gotta take some gambles.

Normally at work I use my Slinbox to watch the games, but I can’t today so I’m using MMOD from cbs.com. I can actually pick which game I want to watch. Good stuff.

You

My bracket is pretty messed up.

Still got 3 of my final 4 though.

I think basically everyone is. This is easily the worst bracket I’ve ever done. Strangely I still have my final four intact but I doubt that’s enough to have a big comeback. Good Lord. Only me and Fee have Stanford in the Final Four so hopefully we can ride that one out. And kudos to Swartzbaugh for picking my Spartans in the final four…you’re a good man…

I swear, I was wrong on basically EVERY little upset I picked. Baylor over Purdue, St Joe’s over Oklahoma, Butler over Tennessee, Winthrop over Wash St, USC over Wisconsin. Good Lord…usually I get at least ONE right. Winthrop was the worst since they were tied at halftime and then Winthrop did NOTHING in the second half…it was depressing.

Still, a FANTASTIC tourney so far…especially Sunday with Georgetown and Butler both going down in VERY close games.

And all hail Tom Izzo for getting another team that had regular season struggles into the Sweet-16. I swear, Izzo’s teams are designed for March and I think it hurts them in Big Ten play. Memphis will be tough but if the Spartans play their best they might topple them like they did to Duke in 2005.

Also, one thing I notice is that the team that will win it all almost ALWAYS blows out the first two teams they played…(I’m sure there’s exceptions but it seems like this happens more often than not). So the teams with blowout wins in their first two games are UNC, Wash St, Louisville, Kansas, and Wisconsin. Watch out for em…

GO STATE!!

Baking powder?

I just got my tix to this Friday and Sunday’s games in the motor city.

CAN’T WAIT!!!

20tH ROW IN THE BLEACHERS ON THE FIELD!!!

My dad pulled out an old Sport Magazine he had autographed by Dick Enberg whilst attending the regionals at Market Square Arena in 1979 and said “this is how you went about getting tickets back then:”

There was a space where an order form had been cut out and mailed in, along with a cashier’s check. You had to wait like 2 months to find out if you got your tickets and if you didn’t they gave you your money back.

^ That’s the old Phish mail order system!

^ That’s the old Grateful Dead mail order system!

^ Not really. The Dead never gave us an Order Form per say. We had to write out what shows we wanted on flash cards. I don’t remember what size but if they were not the right size you were fucked!
