Well, in the last two Game 7s, the Leafs have managed to give up 3 and 4 goals in the 3rd period. Wasn’t quite the collapse of 2013 but, sheesh, the way the Bruins were all over them in the 3rd took a little sting out of the game. Alas.
Into round two. A nice start for Vegas. I like Winnipeg over Nashville. I hope Pittsburgh loses. I’m meh on Ovechkin, but I think he could use a win over Crosby. Boston and Tampa Bay I don’t really have an opinion on. I’ll say Tampa Bay because Marchand is lame.

Phew. I barely made it through two days without games. The playoffs always get me hooked. Exciting game 7 tonight. I’m still going with Winnipeg. Mike Fisher came out of retirement for nothing. Washington-Tampa Bay in the East looks good. I say Washington. It’s a shame they’ll lose the cup to Las Vegas.
It’s going well so far since I’m pulling for a Jets/Caps finals. No matter who wins, I’m all for it. On one hand it’s Ovi and the Caps (and Trotz) finally coming through and on the other it’s Canadian team finally getting a Cup with a city that just got its team back. Caps just look unstoppable right now but Vegas should put up more of a fight.
I haven’t gotten a chance to watch much at all, but rooting for a Caps-Knights Cup final. The Caps put a whooping on the Bolts last night.
Kind of figured that Vegas would bounce back after Game 1. They looked really out-of-sorts against Winnipeg in Game 1. Looks like we got a war now.

Dang, what a game last night. Washington couldn’t have dominated the second period any more than they did and just couldn’t get that 3rd goal…Vasilevskiy was fantastic to keep them in with dudes tee-ing off on him left and right.

Amazing. They’ve just toyed with almost every team they’ve played in these playoffs. We’ll see if it keeps going. Meanwhile, the Caps are going Caps again…

Dang, the last two games, the Caps went back to looking like the dominating team that manhandled the Pens. It disappeared for those three games in a row vs Tampa and now it’s back. Have no idea why that was but they owned Tampa the last two games.
At the same time, Vegas looks just as dominating. Can’t wait to see how this goes. I’m pulling for Trotz…get that guy a ring!
