Actually, upon my return from the take-out restaurant right now, I have noticed my speeds have gone back up. I think my University is on to me about using up bandwith!
just decoded and listening… soooo its interesting. i don’t know what i was expecting… its been pumped up a bunch in anticipation… that may have something to do with the let down. its basically a collage of sounds… personally i think the four man band is perfect number and more musicians tends to have a cluttering effect. but its entertaining… basically a funky/bluesy jam with some vac, otiel’s vocal/bass jam, and some wailing guitar. i’d have to say that trey’s gibberish into the megaphone is the highlight. reminded me of the chappelle joke about latin music. anyway, check it out… the quality is definitely solid and no doubt its one for the collection - just don’t know how often i’ll come back to it. (note that i haven’t listened to the rest of the show yet either) anyway, just my two cents.
nice… to my surprise the runaway jim>my friend is a true segue. page works the ivories while trey grabs his acoustic and cues the others with a few notes. solid transition. now thats something i’ll come back and listen to.
they also work the manteca in during the "my friend, my friend… " vocals at the end. its quick yet funky and then they go back to the chanting. good stuff.
^ Grrr… open your window back up! I am going soooo slow.
i’ll be open through the night… it shows 39 seeders on my end… you should be hauling. do you still have your firewall up?
by the way, brief ‘jimmy olsen blues’ teases in ya mar by trey… (and mike wailing like a wounded dog.)

isnt that the dude of life yelling into the megaphone?
i could be wrong…
yeah… you’re probably right on that one. i assumed it was dude intially as well but dirksen’s review says its trey. lately though i’m begining to think that dirksen doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
This past weekend I listened to this YEM while sipping on some beverages of adult choice, and I must say, there is something special to this song. It is the essence of phun in the Phish world. Best ever? I would have to say no. But it is definitely worth hearing just to hear how smooth all these musicians play together. Oh, and Trey/others ramblings, quite hilarious to hear once you have traveled about twenty minutes into the song.
kick ass version!!!
Cinco de mayo!!!
Good version too
whoa…talk bout a blast from the past…
culled from october, eh?
as i was going through my collection earlier tonight I noticed that this gem is not in there. I could have sworn I had this at some point but whatever…Hopefully someone could help a brother out.
^ I can’t help you, sorry.
