i like that new bluegrass cover too, fun to hear mike yodel.
and the fishman section of tunes is great, you can tell they’re having a lotta fun right now, that makes me feel nice and warm inside and out. 
along those lines, who the hell cares if they repeated tube, it was a great version, imo…play it every night if it’s gonna get ya dancin’ like that!
on to the second set after work…
my only critical point about their playing right now is that at times they’re reaching a nice peak, or just about to get to another one, and they bring it back to the main riff of the tune to end it. (i.e. wolfman’s at camden) like they’re conciously keeping some jams shorter. which is fine, less 5 song sets and more 10+ song sets, it’s a give and take i suppose
seems that moma dance has now been reduced to a tightly played 8 minute funk tune, not much stretching out yet at all
not necessarily all complaints (i’m not gonna do a whole lotta that if they keep playing like this and improving) but observations nonetheless

Sitting in Knoxville right now. Went to the show last night (first Phish show). I really don’t have words to describe it. Too good to be true is the best I can come up with.
Reading posts like this is so refreshing. 
Psyched for you man. This is what Phish is supposed to sound like, as opposed to some other years…cough cough '04.

Anyone else notice that the beginning of Page’s solo on this Maze is fairly Herbie Hancock Chameleon influenced? He even quotes a few licks, pretty cool.

Just got back from Knoxville. I went to Asheville as my first show and i was absolutely blown away … Only to have my mind blown even more the next night.
By the way, I was waiting in line and could somewhat hear the soundcheck. And to whom it may concern… they checked McGrupp!

the maze was unfricken real!!! can’t believe I got in!!! paid more than i ever paid and it ws so worth it!! only 80 bucks at 7:20!!! what a place to see a show you could see everyones expressions all around!!the boys are on fire, so tight so much energy can in=magine how they will be by next thursday!!
