Sitting in Knoxville right now. Went to the show last night (first Phish show). I really don’t have words to describe it. Too good to be true is the best I can come up with.
Reading posts like this is so refreshing. 
Psyched for you man. This is what Phish is supposed to sound like, as opposed to some other years…cough cough '04.

Anyone else notice that the beginning of Page’s solo on this Maze is fairly Herbie Hancock Chameleon influenced? He even quotes a few licks, pretty cool.

Just got back from Knoxville. I went to Asheville as my first show and i was absolutely blown away … Only to have my mind blown even more the next night.
By the way, I was waiting in line and could somewhat hear the soundcheck. And to whom it may concern… they checked McGrupp!

the maze was unfricken real!!! can’t believe I got in!!! paid more than i ever paid and it ws so worth it!! only 80 bucks at 7:20!!! what a place to see a show you could see everyones expressions all around!!the boys are on fire, so tight so much energy can in=magine how they will be by next thursday!!
^ How about Fishmans Journal song Dog Faced Boy, Gumbo, and Tube. Gumbo and Tube are two of my favorite songs and i was in absolute disbelief that they played them in my first set of live Phish. And then a REDIC Ghost > FEFY
yes i was crackin up just staring at Fish!! yes this Ghost> Fast Enough I didn’t realize it was that yummy!! and it is just getting better, this night was a great night to jump onboard tour no doubt! the song selection was perfect for the whole show, imo i hadn’t been that close to the stage in quite sometime… felt we were all, so close in there!!
Had a blast in Asheville, I haven’t seen them since MSG 98/99 NYE. I forgot how amazing it was to be in that room with all the kids rocking out to the boys. It was everything I remembered it being, and so much more. I am still riding a wave of getting high on the PHISH. I am so glad that they are back and sounding so fucking awesome. Wish I was going to all the shows. This summer is going to be HOTTTTTT!
My first live full-length Phish song ever was Lengthwise!
