From a Kill Devil Falls/Ocelot opening duo, to the Sample > Rift > Ya Mar, Reba through Possum, and a Slave closer, IMHO, it was a very good first set, and I’m jazzed about set II!!!
that slave was painful to hear
Sound sounded kinda big for the room. Maybe the end of Slave be came a bit unhinged, but all in all a fun 1st set.
it sounds like the ending of that slave was rushed by trey but id have to hear the official recordings to really know for sure.
so again I ask fellow oh kee peeps. how was the rift?
Rift was pretty tight. Got a little loose towards the end, but they pulled it out. A pretty good version, IMO.
Great 1st set…
I left to go home during 1st song and picked the show back up during Ya Mar. I thought it was a GOOD Ya Mar.
Pretty good first set. It’s kinda odd that Slave was played like that, being that the 6/5 version kicked ass. But hey, can’t nail em all.
Gonna have to re-listen because the sound isn’t that good, but highlight of the first set for me would probably be Reba.
Is it just One, or did Fish pretty much save Trey during Ya Mar by starting a drum solo? It kinda sounded like it from here. Still a nice version though.
Rift and Horn were definitely nice to hear as well.
