They do that for all there covers

Just started listening to Set II. ASIHTOS is seck!

agreed

Yep, that second set kicked ass.

Just starting ASIHTOS. Great Bag, Moma, And Melt. Near perfect fluffhead. Nice Ocelot. Sounding like a nice show.

The CK5 vs Mother Nature light show was un-fucking-believable!!!

Hell yeah. Fluffhead DID really fucking rule. The climax about made me dirty myself. Trey went OFF!!!

My Friends, it was a great show!

Loooooooooooong setbreak. “look, the storm is gone” was going through my mind as well.

Luckily got a hetty stub down to the pav for the first set. Really nice to hear BDTNL, although I was thinking the Bag would have made a better opener. Moma Dance was really nice and focused. And maybe my mind was a bit twisted (haven’t listened to the show yet), but I thought I remembered Water in the Sky being a bit butchered. Could be wrong though…

Melt was GREAT. Definitely love to hear a really nice first set jam. Lawn Boy and The Wedge were a treat, as was Stealing Time and Ocelot. The Connection, not a fan of the song… so yeah.

And Fluffhead, BOOM. Perfect ender for an up and down set.

Started off set break by running up to the very back of the lawn and met some week4pauger’s. Didn’t stay more than a few seconds, as I was ready to run back down towards Brett so he could hook my sorry ass up again  As I was walking back I heard a “Will?” and turned around to meet Brian (Gamecat) for the first time. Another short meet up, and I got we got to hang out longer at Alpine.

After Brett refused to answer my call  my buddy and I just walked in the side of the railing, and nobody was the wiser. As soon as we sat down they started covering up the equipment, and then the Page announcement, and then the speakers started coming down. Some really nice lightning entertained me (and I think everyone else who was looking in the sky).

Phish comes back out with a nice Song I Heard the Ocean Sing, which I enjoyed, but personally am not too big a fan of. But Drowned, WOW. That was some serious jam highlight. Excellent segue into Twist as well, and this was a great jam as well. Surely they could just keep it up all set for me?

Let Me Lie… brought me back down to reality. Might be least favorite lyrics of the Phish repertoire. Thankfully, Tweezer>2001>Suzy>Possum is about as good as it looks. Has anyone noticed they are really killing the Possums they play this tour? Definitely enjoy the song a lot more than I had.

Another song that doesn’t do to much for me is the intro to the encore. I could just do without Sleeping Monkey, even if we do get to hear Fish singing solo. Tweezer Reprise kicked my head back into the game, and just in time to get completely soaked on the way back to the car.

A fantastic show, but I think it was my least favorite of the four I just saw. May have had a lot to do with the long set break/wet walk back to the car.

OKPer’s met at show:
Neil (ghost2000)
Brad (tube47)
Brett (whatever name he is currently using)
Brian (Gamecat)
Hank (PHG)

I think that was it… could be wrong though, weekend tended to blend together.

Lightning during Fluffhead… CHECK IT OUT!

That was siiiiiick. Nice find.

The crowd reaction down in the pavilion was sweet during the lightning. Shock and awe, in my mind.

Awesome! I was hoping someone got these. Probably the only light show that could top CK5 during a Phish show. It was beautiful and scared the crap out of me at the same time.

…well maybe the aurora borealis too.

sweet pictures Will

This night fucking RULED!

Not my pictures, I just carried them over here. Luckily, I was in the pavilion for that night.

Thanks anyhow Will. I was in the lawn, then the Pav (too pack), so we stood on the steps at the front of the lawn. Out of the 10 shows I saw this summer, I think that was the funnest for me. Maybe it was the wetness or the lightning or the cornfields or being back where I saw my first show…I don’t know, but I had a blast.

Speaking of cornfields… did anyone notice a huge lack of them?

Sprawl Central unfortunately.

I would ask that guy at alpine. He probably has the low down.

^^I did notice that. Holy Sprawl. I think that’s why there’s constant speculation that Deer Creek is closing before every other summer. I’m sure someone wants to turn it into a parking lot or a neighborhood.
