7/15/99 Best show of Summer 99?

Damn…This is the first time I’ve listened to this show tonight. Unbelievable show. Maybe the jersey boys came home to give a rousing performance? Every song is seemingly jammed out crazily. Farmhouse even checks in at over 9 minutes. A 20 minute Meatstick (okay so Trey is talking during some of it), a 30 minute Split…Wow this show is the shit.

I always thought 7/25/99 was the best show of the tour. Not anymore. 7/15/99 gets my vote for best show of Summer 99. What do you guys/gals think? Agree/Disagree and Why?

I forgot to mention that Mike squashes the 2001 with the split bassline a la 7/26/99…In this case good call dude.

yeah its a pretty sweet show, but both Atlanta shows and both Great Woods shows are on that level, or at least pretty close to it.

I always give the nod to 7.25 initially, but you can’t forget either nights of Oswego! Both really great, and LONG.

Yeah I agree I think those Atlanta shows and Great Woods shows are top notch, but I think first night Holmdel edges them out a bit. I have no doubt now imo that it beats 7/25/99. As for Oswego I finally just got a good copy of the first set and have yet to listen to it. Anyone else have this problem? I had a hard time finding a good copy of the first night for some reason. The second night of Oswego is pretty sweet although I don’t really like that short 6 song Set 2. Set 3 definitely makes up for it with a nice Icculus, Fluff, Quinn, etc.

Don’t question the greatness of 7-20-99 in Toronto. A Divided Sky and YEM in the same set!! Lots of sweet jams, good song choice and Misty Mountain Hop tore it up in the 2nd set…the crowd was just rioting for that tune…

Yeah for sure another great summer 99 show, but I’m sticking with 7/15/99. It just delivers the goods.
