All I can say is that from the little that I got to see, these guys are so f’n on. Again, maybe a bit biased, but I don’t think I heard one flub in those first few songs. They didn’t go on until almost 8:00, so it was almost an hour after “post time”, but it was so worth it.

LOL, that would’ve been nuts. BDTNL doesn’t surprise me, but 4 Chalkdusts in 4 venues is pretty hardcore. They are seriously digging that tune right now.

Have to say that the 1st set wasnt that impressive to me.
Was pumped 2nd set with carini and the place really seemed to start rocking, and then i felt the jiboo just brought it down. I need to relisten to this show cause the sound from where I was sitting was pretty bad.

Just got back from the show. First set was very well-executed, and I was fuckin pumped about Paul and Silas because I’ve been saying for a while that I hoped they would bring it back. I didn’t realize it was the first since Worcester 98 though, that’s so awesome. I liked the new Page song Windy City too, very cool. I have to say, though, it is true: Time Turns Elastic is a serious energy killer. I was waiting to hear it live before I made a judgment, but yeah, it was no good.
Second set was obviously incredible. BDTNL was the best one I’ve heard yet, and then Carini!! It is worth noting that there was a sign in the upper deck on Page side that said “CARINI ME, I’M 30”. I really do believe that is why they played it. As a nice change, they jammed out 2001 instead of playing a 4 minute version. Cactus was throwing down big time on that one. Hood was nice and clean. Anyways, I need to get to sleep, but the show was great, and I’m super jealous of all you people that get to go to Darien.

Just got back from the show, pretty damn good. Second set really blew the first set out of the water. I think perhaps the best BDTNL to date and the Wilson>2001 was fucking incredible. Paul and Silas bust out was really special. New Page song Windy City is damn good and has great potential to be a funk jam vessel.
Just got back and here is the rundown. Keep in mind that i am very tired right now so this might not be completely coherant.
I was 20 people deep, in front of mike.
Kill devil falls was a great opener, loads of energy in that, then…Sample, alright, wouldn’t be my first pick to get a show going. Ocelot, I don’t know about anyone else who went but it was definatly the low point of the show, I mean it had no energy, mike didn’t even seem to want to play it. Then Paul and Sila, and normally I would say awesome, but poor set placement, no one in the crown knew it, then Windy city, which was a decent tune, but also poorly placed in the set, THEY REALLY NEEDED AN ENERGY BOOST, which was supplied by Curtain with. Train song, I love this song, always have, always will, but once for a third time in one set, a poorly placed tune. Then GUMBO, who doesn’t just love Gumbo, the rag time solo was amazing, sadly it was the highlight of the first set. Heavy Things is always a crowd pleaserrolling eyes. The set ended with TTE, which has grown on me alot since I last saw it.
If I had to grade this set I would give it a C.
Set 2. Oh great, BDTNL…5 new songs guys?..Wait…what are they doing? are they jamming this mother out? YES THEY ARE! It turned out to be a GREAT tune. CARINI F*** yeah> Gotta Jibboo

Theme, alright I’ll take it, I have never seen one, it was actually alot of fun, then WILSON, and the entire Fing venue explodes, absolutely awesome. After Wilson sucked all the engery out of the crowd they desided to liven things up with a wonderful 2001. WIth the show dying of boredom they gave it an electric shock with Chalk Dust!!! Which they played the previous show but who the F cares. having make it a second set to remember already they desided they could play a obscure song, so they played HARRY HOOD, this was my first harry hood, and I am proud to say I did not yell “HOOD” with the rest of the lunitics. And closed the set with the perfect show closer, Squirming coil, and I absolutely loved it, page’s piano solo at the end was breathtaking, thank you Page.
Encore - Loving cup 3 time played as an encore this tour.
Set 2 + Encore - a very solid A.

I am downloading it right now, and the taper agrees with me completely about the first set. calling it “good at best,” and choppy, which it was.
Just got home as well…Had a blast…Saw Neil and Clark briefly…Sorry about your troubles Clark. I actually chilled with Ant and mafujon for most of the first set, but had to leave when we got TTE’d…hahahaha…It’s growing on me it really is, but I was hungry. We were close real close first set…like 20 rows back Page side…Sorry Ant and mafujon I didn’t see you guys after I left during TTE, but it was impossible to get back up there without being a total dick.
Anyways on to the show!
Had a blast. Thought there was some interesting/weird set placements, but nevertheless thought the show rocked. KDF, Ocelot, Paul and Silas, Curtain With, Gumbo definitely highlighted the first set.
Second set was sweet as mentioned above. Although I thought the Wilson and Chalkdust were placed weird, but still worked as the crowd was going nuts ready to blow up Toyota Park. As mentioned this is definitely hands down the best BDTNL to date…no compairson to any others and into Carini…fucking crazy.
When I’m more with it and give it another listen I’ll post a more detailed recap.
Once again sorry Ant and mafujon that I didnt’ see you guys after the first set. Hope you guys had a great time!
Got home To Ann Arbor about an hour ago. I know. I’m an animal.
Had a blast tonight. What a mixture of Hetty and Custy. What a mix of new and old. Except for the Coil and Cup nothing tonight was predictable. I loved scratching my head all night wondering where they were trying to take things. Things are back to normal in the Phish World. By that I mean, see the whole tour or just pick 1 or 2 to see. You pretty much can’t go wrong.
Dude…where are my streams at (nospoilers, yawningdrone, have nothing).
Anyone have any insight for us poor office bound folks, behind firewalls, who can’t access torrents at work and still want to get our Carini on?
