8/14/04 Hood

You know I always claim Hood as my song
Often leaving people when they play it at shows,
or wanting silence when it plays on a tape

Coventry Hood brought up a lot of memories and though it may not have been the best, I was wiping tears away just because. Its they way it is everytime I hear it.

Coventry is one of those fascinatingly odd moments in Phishistory.

Trey’s speech on the Coventry Hood is, I guess interesting to listen to, but really odd. I can just imagine how Mike probably did NOT want to go on the rocks!

but I also have heard that Trey doesn’t want to play Hood at Coventry (I don’t have the SBD so I can’t tell for myself.)

Ugh sigh coventry…whatever it happened, listening to this Hood is for sure sub par, but being there…the emotions made it all too fucked for anyone, who knows what the hell was going on with Trey or with anyone, we’re all human…I’ll wait for Hood’s resurrection

This was the only time I walked out during an encore. Easily the most pathetic show in Phishtory, sad really. I just couldn’t believe how f’d up Trey was for this show! What a slap in the face, not only to his fellow band mates, but his fans as well. >:(

I left about an hour before that. I think it was Stash that disgusted me enough, plus I wasn’t feeling good anyway after the walk. If my tent were any farther than the lucky spot that I scored, I probably wouldnt have made it. I agree though, very weak show.

That Stash was truly terrible. Wedge was shitty also. The music that night, especially the third set, had this dark, depressing theme and feel to it. It wasn’t what I was hoping for for my last live phish. Ohhhhh well. sighs

yeah it was lackluster to say the least, I remeber being on the right side, near gordo and just watching his reaction to the music coming from the band you could tell he was not pleased at all

He was the only one that seemed to have his shit together and was still playing well, i remember walking up to the stage during yarmar and being excited, and slowly the excitement began to lessen due to the flubs and such

at least i got my money back, so in the long run the show and trip to vermont was pretty much free, or should i say paid for my nugs
