We’ll be there, prob sweating balls too. Can’t think of a worse time to go to Atlanta. ![]()
I was wondering why in the fuck they’re playing these venues at the hottest part of the summer in that area. They’re outta their minds, but I’m SO there. Lakewood is where I grew up seeing shows, so it’s sorta like coming home for me…although it’s in the GHETTO!
The only time I’ve been there (99) we got robbed by the guys running the little ghetto parking lot thing we parked in. Every single car in that lot had the windows busted out and shit stolen out of them. Place is a shit hole
They have many lots inside the venue. It’s impossible for them to all fill up. Never EVER park in one of the outside pay lots.
I can’t remember if it was after Phish in 2000 or the Allman Brothers in 2001, but I took a wrong turn trying to get back to the interstate and ended up in a place I did NOT want to be in a little red Acura with 2 tripping friends in the back seat who were less than helpful.
Well that whole four-night run, which was originally just supposed to be Bonner Springs and then return home, was pretty much a shit show. I think we were late and there was a traffic jam or something and the guy driving thought it would be quicker to get out and walk/run. I don’t really remember much. It just as easily could’ve been the previous night that we were late. I don’t really remember much…lots of LSD ingested over that weekend. All I know is the only worse area I’ve ever seen a Phish show in is Camden.
ATL and CLT here we come!
Hopin’ for some goooood PAVs this time around . . .
Lawned by ptbm, but I’m happy. My husband won’t be able to afford a pav more than likely and who wants to be under that shed in Atlanta heat at the end of August? Fuck a whole buncha that!
I got lawns through PTBM too. I forgot I added those to the Oak Mtn request at the last minute because tickets for another (much smaller and if I don’t get them MUCH more expensive) concert are released at the same time so I’d prob end up with lawns anyway.
Pav’d for this night.
But people WILL die due to heat exhaustion. Horrible time to play in ATL.
It’s a shame that its not Alpharetta, but I guess after last year they wanted nothing to do with the Phish. So I’ll be in the big nasty city, in the heat, seeing some Phish.
Wooo Hooo…3 days after my 21st bday! drinks on me if I’m still coherent and not broke yet!! ![]()
I really can’t wait to do this run, should have a pretty good crew, do wish it was in Alpharetta simply because I know more people from there and love that venue…I’ve never seen a show here though, heard a lot of scary/weird stories though
edit: also Doug, I don’t know if there are Pavs available now for this show or not, but if so and you wanna grab one I’ll take your Lawn off yer hands, either way stub downs will probably be in full effect for this one
Soooooo, slight chance of swooping in and out for this show.
Would possibly need a ride to and fro said airport.
Don’t have much of a memory of this one.
Anyone want to play taxi???
Or can I just grab a cab to the show and back??
I believe Lakewood is pretty close to the airport, I know a lot of people are planning to stay near the airport because its a nicer area so I doubt it’s too far from the venue
if I get down there as early as I’d like to I can definitely swing by the airport and scoop you up though…hopefully everything goes according to my plan, we’ll see
I want another Peaches…en Georgia!!
This oughtta be a huge rager, lotta panic fans that have been around the scene for years are gonna be doing their first Phish show there…can’t wait to see Phish scare the shit out of em…another 26 min ghost a la Lakewood 97 yo
Heading down Thursday with a buddy, another buddy of mine is driving up from Florida, so we are gonna hang in Atlanta for a few days
… So looking forward to this one. '99 was a “lot” experience for sure

Can we get an Official Roll Call up in here
- Phinst (+2-Wingate by Wyndham -At Six Flags)
- Phinst (+2-Wingate by Wyndham -At Six Flags)
- Douglas +1 - heading down the rd after show
this will be my first trip to Lakewood…never realized it was this big-

this is gonna be a fuckin rager…anyone been on the lawn?
^Yes. It’s way too big. The pavilion only holds a fraction of the people, whereas the lawn holds 13k+. If I remember correctly (which I wouldn’t count on), the sound in the back half of the lawn sucks.
^Yeah probably a pretty good guess about the lawn…if I do end up back there for the whole show, don’t really expect to, but I will be sticking with my posse for the most part, then I will certainly be towards the front
Sold Out
but there will be extras all over the place, tons of lawns on craigslist, mostly 50 bucks a pop
this will be the biggest Phish show I’ve seen in terms of capacity, 7,000 seats, 12,000 lawn
