A box of rain will ease the pain and love will see you thru

Brady, you gave your dad everything he really needed at the end, your love. It gave him the assuredness he needed to take the last step, knowing that his life had this level of meaning to his children.

You’ll have to cry this one out a number of times before you can move on from this experience, but you should feel pretty special about the bond you have with your dad. Like Chris said, he will always be with you in the love you’ll feel for others the rest of your life, and especially for your own kids.

With all the love that my dad and I shared.

Brady…man I am so sorry to hear that pal! I lost my grandfather last week also…been tough. There is no easy time to lose a loved one. You and your family are in my prayers.

Oh, Jawbone… :frowning:

You and your family are in my thoughts.

Hope some music will get you through this.

Brady, my friend I’ve never met, there is nothing for me to say. This is something that every son and daughter dreads, and nothing I type here will change the way you feel. Your post was written so beautifully, and you must have incredible poise to be able to type out something like that so eloquently at a time like this.

Keep your head up. Your father will never be forgotten and this, too, shall pass. Until then, stay strong for the people who need you to. Nothing but the best to you, friend, we’re all here for you.

I’m very sorry for your loss Brady. My thoughts are with you.

You and Travis are two of the coolest cats I’ve ever met. Your pop must have been one hell of a guy. I’ve been there before, and there’s nothing harder to deal with than losing a parent. It’s incredibly tough, but I know that as positive as you and your brother are, you’re going to be OK, and that music, art, laughter, and love really are the best ways to cope.

Much love to you and your family, broski.

(((((((vibes)))))))

Sorry for your loss… While it’s very, very hard to lose someone, Hopefully you and your family will find comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain, no one wants to live like that. My thoughts and prayers are with ya man… take care…

I’m sorry for your loss Brady. That fact that he got to see you before he passed must have been a great comfort for him.

(((((Brady)))))

I wish you and your family the best, Brady.

so sorry to hear this brady. hang in there man, i know you’re feeling bad now but it will get better with time. my thoughts are with you and your family.

I’m sure it was difficult, but it sounds like a beautiful ending. We should all be so lucky; to go surrounded by those we love.

My condolences, Brady.

That was incredible of you to be there with your dad at the end.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

thanks for the love, everybody. Its felt all around.

this past Saturday we had a nice gathering at his house up in Titusville with my Step-mother and her family and friends. It was a good party and there was a very nice ceremony in which all of us lit a candle on his surfboard floating in the pool and said a few words, followed by my brother and I playing Amazing Grace, a toast and a Margaritaville sing-along (Jimmy Buffet being his all time fav and Margaritaville being the first song my brother learned on guitar from one of my dad’s old songbooks).

It was a very appropriate and touching ceremony. Here are some lovely pics taken by a good friend of ours:

brady those are really good pics. if anyone did something half as awesome as that for me when i go then i would be smiling somewhere.

once again, sending my thoughts and best wishes down the coast to you and your family and friends.
