Jake and I celebrating his first St Patty’s Day before I had too much Jameson.
Added another of Jake with one of the Easter outfits we gave him. He was pretty chill on Sunday at the brunch for almost two hours, just taking it all in. I guess if you can be satisfied with a tube of hand cream, you can be satisfied with most things.
So this weekend was Riley’s first taekwondo tournement. He won first place in Katas and second in sparring. 
Because his birthday was last month and he is so small they put him at 6-Blue belt. He was the only 6 year old blue belt…so he won first for katas (he DID stick it and would have won anyway). I know…I know.
So now I’m like “Who does he get to fight?” I’m not about to let him take a first for sparring because there are no other 6 blue belts. I was trying to get them to let Riley fight in the 7-8 division (which he truly is). They are talking about liability…blah blah blah. LONG story short…I get them to let Riley fight in 7-8 Green-Blue (which he is by 3 weeks…but now fighting kids almost 9). At this point I am thinking maybe I fucked up and he will get his ass kicked pretty bad. Riley went on to the finals and lost by one point (to a kid almost 9)! He took second place! Holy shit proud dad moment! 
Trying to upload the fights…(might be too long). The kids kept getting bigger with each fight.
Grats to Riley! He’s gonna be a weapon some day!
I always liked Kata better than Kumite (sparring) anyways. But that’s just my personal preference of not wanting to get punched in the face.

I was gonna say Kumite…but was not sure how many people would know what it is. Still trying to get these fighting videos up.
How could he not put on a great show in NY? Maybe I’ll try again to get tix.

Went golfing last weekend in New Paltz NY where I attended school. This is a shot from the 8th tee looking west. I shot a bird on this hole laying my drive about 6 feet left of the pin. Best hole of the day. Best view too. No wonder I never wanted to leave school.

In the ‘other ways to spend your money’ department, Marie finally picked out her car on Friday night and after only fours at the dealer, she walked away with this Forester.
She managed to get some nice features like a sun/moon roof, heated seats, built in Bluetooth and other steering wheel controls. A bit smaller than I remember our last one to be, but a sweet little car.
Are you anywhere near Poole, Dorset, BH15 3SS. United Kingdom? I may have a business trip to this town sometime over the next year and will probably bring Marie to parlay it into that vacation.
But don’t expect me to look like this any longer…
