A day in the life of OKP members... pictures

^^ Grats to RIley!

He has good footwork during sparring… nice kicks too!

White Plains NY is the town where I was born. Some of the folks from there created a fb page about it, and they’ve been finding some of the most outrageous pictures that I thought would be fun to share.

This first one is a Civil War parade from 1884. If you look into the distance to the base of Chatterton hill, I used to live about three or four blocks to the right, and used to traverse every square foot of that hill at some point in my childhood.

This other picture is from the senior prom the year I graduated. I always remember Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs performing at my prom, but now that I recall it better, I went to the senior prom in my junior year with a girl I was “kind of dating” who was a senior. I didn’t go to my senior prom because I was working and there was no one I was particularly interested in going with. What a dope. I could have seen the Temptations in our gym. Instead of My Girl, I opted for Wooly Bully. Doh! And I even helped decorate the place. Doh, Doh!

Whoa! That’s some pretty impressive prom entertainment!

Truly a day in the life of an OKP great grandparent …

Jacob Thomas came in at 7lb6oz and 20in at 645 last night. His parents and the rest of the family are doing just fine.

^hey congrats there Bill. Great granddad… I never even had a child so I don’t know how that feels to say nothing of having a child who had a child who had a child. You must feel like you’ve built your own empire. Glad to hear everyone is well.

Very cool, Bill. Very happy for you and the family.

I want to hang with the guy in the bottom picture.

The guy in the top picture looks like he’s struggling to keep the inner wook under wraps.

^^the top guy was here, offering to sell me some cable…

You guys are cool. All the stiffs respond to the bottom pic.

Actually the top picture looks like Thunder in “Big Trouble in Little China” just before he blows himself up after Lo Pan was killed.

I would have that look on too if I was in shirt and tie and the room was 78 degrees.

lol, yep. Verdict is in; Pa likes the W00k. That thermostat is inaccurate, turns out. Pretty comfy in there … & I don’t always bunch up the bottom of my face like that top pic (but when I do, … ). And I rarely don the Himalayan headband like in that bottom pic.

That’s a beautiful lookin Jacob Thomas up there btw.

lol mild mannered salesman by day, outer space wook by night

Grandson Jaime and I spent a couple of hours late yesterday at Six Flags Great Adventure and this is all we did in this order:

We voted Nitro our favorite of the night, although El Toro was pretty crazy.

^So cool.

Keeping it alive!

Top of the 6th (last inning), down 10-8, runner at 2nd, with 2 outs…NO PRESSURE!!
Yes, that’s me coaching 1st (prob. my last). :smiling_imp:

Riley went 1 for 3 today with a strike out, fielders choice (nice contact on it), and a single. His batting avg. dipped to .556, on base % .556, and slugging % .667. Team lost 12-8 but came back down 10-1. I had to coach in the field instead of take book. If you don’t like that I am going to call an obstruction on your 2nd baseman who is setting picks on my base runners in the baseline, then take your Generation Y (everybody ties) ass parenting back to the YMCA league. Some of us want to teach our kids the right way to play the game!

^They look so animated playing baseball at that age. Very cool.

Here’s a pic of Jake and I looking very ‘unanimated’ just kind of noddin’ off together after a busy morning of eating, pooping and staring off in wonderment at the world around us.

I have now met my Sunday adorability quotient. Thanks Fone!

^^ Yea Bill, that’s a great picture of the pair of ya!
