The movie was a mid 80’s all-star cast with Lea Thompson, Jeffrey Jones, Richard Edson (a ‘That Guy’ titan in his own right), and a pretty young Tim Robbins. One of the few VHS that I own. I never knew about the comic, but that description certainly explains the personality of the movie. Good stuff.
