A Warning

Understand that I tell you this not to scare you but rather to motivate you. Something big is going to be happening soon. There will be a disaster. I can’t tell you exactly what it is or when it will happen but it will be soon. Consider this a sign. A sign for those of you that cannot realize that we are in the end times of this world. If what is happening to our country right now isn’t enough for you to understand, then hopefully this will be. This is your chance right now to repent of your evil and wickedness and alter your eternal destiny. There will be a strong uprising of God and this is your opportunity to save yourselves and become apart of it. Ask Jesus into your hearts and save yourself, he cannot do it for you. But he will do it if you ask. Time is running out. Understand that we are all eternal regardless if you believe it or not and the choice you make now will determine whether or not your eternity is of suffering or of prosperity. Understand He loves you more than anyone on this earth ever could but he cannot make your decisions for you. Consider this a warning, but please, please, please understand that this could be the last warning you ever receive. I will not reply to this thread, but all of your questions will be answered, in one way or another.

I hope you all make the right choice.

YES!

seriously, it’s true.

no really.

haven’t read the OP yet, but i’m hoping it contains some cryptic prediction stuff, maybe a little religious nudging.

Oh Adam. Adam, Adam, Adam. If you’ve found faith in a higher power, then right on, but please don’t fall victim to the gloom and doom rhetoric! I swear, you just sounded like every southern baptist preacher I ever heard speak. The church has been pulling that crap to get higher numbers during altar calls since the beginning. I’m not saying that something catastrophic won’t happen. I know it’s enevitable. I’m just saying if you someone wants to dedicate their life to Jesus Christ, it should be because they truly believe in Christianity and all it’s ideologies…not because they are AFRAID of what will happen to you if they don’t. That’s not faith, that’s FEAR and there’s a HUGE difference. I do hope you find peace, though, because you’re an excellent human

P.S. I didn’t mean to single out the Baptists. I went to my parents’ pentacostal church when I was pregnant with my daughter and they are VERY aggressive with the gloom and doom, do it now before something terrible happens rhetoric. It’s a very charismatic church and people get sucked in very easily. Just be smart and make sure you are doing this for the right reasons. Much love

the notion that we can comprehend an all-powerful entity that created a seemingly infinite universe is an exercise in futility and vanity.

He loves you so much that if you don’t embrace him as your lord, he will make sure you suffer for eternity. What a guy that Jesus.

i’ve been saying this for a long-time. i’m sorry, but i don’t want to believe in a god that is the equivalent of the popular cheerleader in high school.

Or you can always turn to this guy for an easy way out: :smiling_imp:

But yeah…I hope you don’t actually believe all that stuff Adam. This earth and humanity has been through a lot (plagues, disasters, the Macarena) and it/we have always managed to survive. If you want to attribute that to faith, then so be it, but don’t come down on others for not sharing your beliefs…that’s just not like you man.

Have you not seen the ineffectiveness of organized faiths to solves man’s problems? Furthermore, how people behave when motivated by fear?

Being religious is not a belief, nor asking for forgiveness, nor accepting one thing as truth, it’s a way of living.

A religious man has compassion in his heart, and shows it in every aspect of his daily life. He unconditionally loves everyone, with no regard to arbitrary factors such as forms and appearances. He practices charity with no expectations of recognition or reward.

He does not judge his fellow humans, nor does he impose a lifestyle on them. He has seen the processes of his own mind in relation to the world, and realized that our problems are only dependent on us. Thus, he sees the necessity of purging the mind of conditioning, as conditioning strengthens the ego, further separating us from our natural state of existence.

If Jesus exists, he would rather you surrender to unconditional love than accept him as an idol. In other words, he would rather you be religious in practice than in theory.

Jesus himself said: “Straight and narrow is my way.” What path could be straighter than existential religiousness? Certainly not our unprovable collection of ideas, which all too much seem ineffective in changing the state of affairs.

God is not something to be thought about, but to be experienced. Here and now.

This

and this.

did I miss something? Adam, you around?

I’m pretty sure he was kidding.

So high right now…

We’re born without faith, without any effort on our part at all to get it done. Don’t understand why dying should be any different except for the crap we’ve been handed along the way.

Birds sing until they don’t anymore. Fish swim until they don’t anymore. Our connection to the Divine is not something you attain through a set of rules and practices. It is Here in spite of ourselves to approach or avoid it. There’s nothing to do, nothing to say, no where to go. Let the world end tomorrow…

… well, then again, can it wait until after the MSG shows?

adam’s a noob, don’t listen to him

Yeah, this is what I was thinking. Although, Adam hasn’t been around much, maybe he’s been in church… hmmmm…

No seriously I’m pretty sure Adam was joking. He said he wouldn’t respond to this thread, so I think he just made it as a joke. If not, then Adam, go to a fucking Phish show right now!! We’re losing you!

    I’ll jump on that wagon. Although, I’d rather it not end at all. But if it must, then yeah, let’s wait until after MSG. I think Easter would be a good time for Jesus to come back and hang out and judge everyone and send them where they need to go. But if Jesus came back, I would totally take him to a Phish show. He would have a blast; I would get him so stoned.

Oh and Zoot, the meanwhile in Belarus picture is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you for that. Made this thread worthwhile.
