I have never been able to bring myself to get rid of my old VHS tapes. I still have a VCR, but it is all boxed up.

When it became clear that DVD’s were going to replace tapes, F.Y.E. had a big VHS clearance, and I picked up about a dozen tapes in the waning days of VCRs. I remember getting: Uncle Buck, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, Ferris Bueller, The Man with the Golden Gun, In the Flesh (Roger Waters), Independence Day, and Men In Black, and all for just dirt cheap. I still have all of them. (I have since purchased Uncle Buck, Men in Black, and The Man with the Golden Gun on DVD- and will likely get T.M.w.t.G.G. on Blu-ray)

Who here still has tapes? Who here has been able to summon the strength to get rid of tapes?

When the Tool boxset Salival came out, there was an option for a VHS or a DVD.

I was unknowingly about 6 months away from my first DVD player, and now I had outdated technology already.

^^ The trick is you’ve got to clip them off way up high.

Actually, the trick is to use the cursor to hover over your name. Then your number will be revealed. It’s kind of like a magic 8 ball, but without the magic or the 8 ball. (Although, that is your official number given to you by THE MAN. The order that you posted in this thread? No one knows the answer to that. Irreplaceable pages of this thread…cyber tome, if you will, were lost during the great migration. Gone forever down the internet hole.)

I don’t know how many times I’ve posted in this thread. But I do know, that it seems to feel as though it might be becoming a thing, that the ratio of confusion I personally have when reading anything in it, is 100%.
