Part of my sense of humor is making jokes about me being gay or making passes at dudes who work there. Thereās this manager dude named Mark who is a year or two younger than me. The one day when he was walking by I stopped him and was like āMark, you take my breath away.ā He literally cringed and said I was a creepy son of a bitch.
About a week later, he was working again and his friend, who works back in the deli with me, started to sing the song. So when Mark walked back into the deli to make sure the back door was locked, we started to serenade him even though we couldnāt remember the words beyond ātake my breath away.ā
Our hope is to someday sneak a CD with āTake My Breath Awayā on it and have it play while Markās working and then corner him somewhere and sing along.
