The best part of the Episode I podrace, for me, is the part where Qui-Gon Jinn’s makin’ out with Shmi Skywalker behind concessions. They leave Young Padme and Jar Jar in charge of one another under the guise of “going for a Spacepop” and sneak into the shadows for a little outer space-spit-swap.
