an entire set of covers?

hey

I was wondering this the other day. Besides Halloween sets, did Phish ever do a set that was all cover songs, or at least all but one or two songs?

12.31.97 set 1 made me think of this…Wolfman’s, Sloth, My Sweet One are the only original songs in that set, from what I can remember. There’s probably one other original at least, but that is quite the cover set.

any that beat it in that regard?

 ya I kinda figured that one would be coming…

there must be no other sets after that one that didn’t have at least one Phish original in them, eh?

I would doubt it.

If such a set exists, you can be it’d probably be an 80s set.

11/2/98 Dark side of the moon. That’s not officially halloween…

BA-ZING!

^^yeah but that set also had YEM, DwD, Moma Dance, Mango

This set has a lot of covers…but still 3 originals.

2: Funky Bitch**, On My Knees**, On My Knees Reprise#, Down With Disease*, Wolfman’s Brother -> Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley -> Wolfman’s Brother -> Timber (Jerry), You Enjoy Myself

This set only has 2 originals, but not that many songs I guess…

2: Boogie On Reggae Woman > Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley# -> Ghost -> Also Sprach Zarathustra > Down with Disease (0:59)

I’ve actually been listening to that 12-11 set quite a bit lately on my runs.

And yeah, that’s true, Hank…you bastard.
