Subject: Celebrate Jerry Garcia Night at AT&T Park
Our friends The San Francisco Giants are stepping up big time on Monday, August 9th, and joining Dead Heads everywhere as they pay homage to the 15th anniversary of Jerry’s passing and face the Chicago Cubs at AT&T Park. All fans attending that night’s game will be treated to pre-game performances from Grateful Dead cover bands, a very special home plate ceremony, video tributes and plenty of other surprises.
Annabelle Garcia is set to throw out the game’s traditional first pitch, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh and Jeff Pehrson will perform the National Anthem, and Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann will attempt to set an official Guinness World Record for the world’s largest kazoo ensemble, by leading some 9,000 kazoo-playing fans in “Take Me Out To The Ball Game.” Truly a celebration not-to-be missed!
Purchase a special event ticket for a seat in an exclusive Jerry Night section and take home a limited edition Jerry/Giants themed bobblehead and also take part in the 7th Inning Stretch kazoo performance. A significant portion of the proceeds will benefit the Rex Foundation.
In conjunction with Jerry Garcia Night at AT&T
Park, Dead.net proudly offers two all-time classics, the “Giants/Steal Your Face” t-shirt and cap. Introduced after Jerry, Bob and Vince’s famous 1993 Star Spangled Banner performance at Candlestick Park, these items went on to set merchandise sales records for the Giants and Dead alike. With net profits going to the Rex Foundation, everybody wins. Supplies are limited so act fast!
