Kentucky Officials Investigating Amusement Ride After Girl’s Feet Severed

Officials were investigating Friday how a 13-year-old girl’s feet were severed while on an amusement ride in Louisville, Ky.
The girl was riding the Superman Tower of Power at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom when witnesses said a cable snapped.

So I went on a ride that was exactly like this at King’s Dominon here in Virginia. I am deathly afraid of heights, but at the persistant chiding of my husband and two of our friends I got on.
I bawled like a child the whole way up and the whole way down and had a panic attack - all b/c i could see something like this happening to me. Now… I’m vindicated. It’s not crazy to be afraid t get on those thigns…shit happens man!
I feel horrible for that girl…can you imagine? Jesus that had to be excrutiating.

I went on a ride like that at King’s Island near Cincy, OH a few years back.
It was deathly terrifying.
I saw a news report on that accident and it said there was no blood. How is that possible?
