Any gamers up in this piece?

Bah, it came to my attention that the PSP games they have listed are likely not able to be played on PS3. So they just put them on the PSN and I guess you have to attach your PSP to the PS3 to upload them to that. Silliness.

Holy crap… Batman is awesome. Been sick since watching that Browns game Sunday, so it has been a lot of bed rest followed by short spurts of video games.

Just got to the part where I look like Frank the Bunny in Donnie Darko… this game is so awesome. Open world Batman rules!

Saw you were playing that while i was getting a quick 15 minute fix in on my lunch yesterday. you’re definitely farther than me. I’m trying to find Mr freeze right now. need to figure out how to un-freeze the trapped security guards. This game is AWESOME!

Just figured out the “Frank the Bunny” section is just a side-mission. And it is the hardest to date.

Are you in the area with the sharks? That took me a little while to figure out as well… then I remembered I had detective vision. :shifty:

Ug…you guys are making me jealous with all this Arkham City talk. But seriously…Frank the bunny? Sharks? Donnie Darko? What game is this?

Have heard great things about Batman. Have to pick that up.

Been playing Gears of War 3 & Madden.
Have Call of Duty MW3 pre-ordered too.

Also saw an email that the new Grand Theft Auto will be out next year.

Batman = GTA without the hassle of having to get into cars

^Well, I’m playing Red Dead Redemption and you just call over a horse and jump on it so that’s nice. I’d like Arkham City but I can’t justify playing $60 for any game right now. In just a few months it’ll be down to $40 and then probably another $10 less soon after that. I’ll take a look at it then. The way I’m going I’ll be playing RDR until then. There’s TONS to do in this game and I haven’t even tried out the multiplayer.

The sharks? where you have to save the cops from the penguin? the Mr freeze fight was hard as hell for me. you have to find different ways to attack him using gadgets, otherwise you’re done for. been doing a lot of the riddler sides, attacking his men and unlocking more trophies to get more hostages unlocked. but now it’s making me go after joker…just so much to do!

Well I just had a bit of fun playing the Red Dead Redemption multiplayer all this weekend. Part of the draw was it was Triple XP all weekend which helped me level nicely. I didn’t do a lot of the PvP games but I certainly did a lot of the extra multiplayer challenges and teamed up with plenty of folks to take out gang hideouts and such. I even formed my own posse and had up to 8 people in the group…we were killing machines. Though as the leader I only had a few tasks to do (they were helping me clear hideouts without dying) and after that I just kept signaling to attack the next hideout and everyone rode off. Kind of fun. I’m not sure how much I could do without eventually getting bored but for now it’s fun. I’m a sucker for these dumb challenges the game has you do.

I beat The Joker.

^Hey, easy on them spoilers!

And sorry… but I don’t like playing as Catwoman. The crawling on the ceiling is pretty cool… but give me the Dark Knight anyday over the Feisty Feline.

^Yeah, I’m reading the same on the boards around…people just miss all of Batman’s sweet gadgets and tricks when they’re not playing as him. From what I understand the Catwoman stuff only makes up like 5% of the game so it’s no biggie. Perhaps a nice change of pace.

I didn’t upgrade any of catwomans stuff during the game. after the credits playing as her, hard as hell.

Any Woods 2011 Golfers in here?

christ i cant do anything with my life since Skyrim came out.

^Did they improve the annoying leveling system? I always hated those “raise your defense by getting hit a lot, raise your agility by running a lot” types of leveling system. That’s one of the reasons that turned me off from Oblivion. Also, how is the third-person fighting?..another reason I didn’t like Oblivion is I’m just not a fan of first-person melee games. I’m tempted by Skyrim but I’m kind of wary of Bethesda stuff.

I’m currently playing the fourth Ace Attorney game for DS, Apollo Justice. Not a bad game actually…despite the new characters it’s got the same good humor and such.

But, I thought you liked to dress… Never mind…

Hiho!

The leveling is similar. the smithing/lockpicking/blocking/armor rating is leveled that way. the more you create, pick, block etc. upgrades more. but the third person fighting isn’t bad, i use it quite a bit actually. I personally never got in to oblivion like i did morrowind. but this game just dominates. if you are an rpg guy. this is the game for you. i have 55hours in. and have lost connections with friends so to say. i really don’t go out any more haha. i just sit and get absorbed in this game.
