Any love for the 8.12.04 YEM?

YEM post hiatus isn’t the same because it sounds way too rough, as Trey’s guitar does in general without the compressor. I’d take the alpine valley '03, worcester '03 opener and NYE '03 versions over it as far as post hiatus goes, and it’s short, but I definitely have love for it, yes.

^awwww silent killer (sniffle sniffle) where are you little guy

I think this should have been the last YEM. Love the segue into Ghost too!

It was cool to end that 2nd set with something like SASS, instead of an expected classic like Slave or Split Open, etc

julius is the new reba, always welcome

I called a YEM opener for that night.

Sooo close.

This is my favorite post-hiatus show.

i did the same run, and enjoyed it all. I remember cringing at the opening to yem as trey just totally misses the arpeggio, but the jam was great. I too wish they wouldn’t have played another YEM at Coventry, but i didn’t see that one anyway as i was still chillin out. I missed first set’s of Coventry both days for various reasons. I did hear them, just wasn’t in the mud.

Don’t you want to go, Mud City?

You missed the best parts of the weekend. You missed the REBA!!

Well, the second and third sets of the second day were at least worth seeing, but not so much on the first night.

I heard the REBA i just wasn’t standing in waist deep mud looking at the boys play it

i have no regrets about that festie, only wish i could have carried more shit on my back into the place

I loved and love this show.

I had quite the “experience” that night.
Very special night. Was with about 20-25 people on the upper lawn, mike side. It was amazing, no matter where I looked was a friend, everyone dancing.

The YEM jam was fantastic.
Maze ->Catapult -> Maze :sunglasses:
Moma Dance ;D
Sneaking Sally :o
Rock and Roll :stuck_out_tongue:

This was definitly the LAST Phish show.

Coventry was…uhg.

my feeling as well, it truly was the last phish show

I prefer 8.11 over this show, but not by as much as I used to. 8.12 is solid, but my experience at the show and the overall tone of the show seemed a little dark and scary for my taste. If my shrooms hadn’t been taken from me on the way into the show it may have been a different story.

8.11 was the best time of the last 5 show for me for sure.

Yeah, that sounds about right for Camden.

You should have stuck around and saw what the lot looked like after the show. Good God. :-/

I got walked into the show, but had to go in like an hour and half before so I didn’t get to walk around the lot. Not that I missed anything from the sound of it.

Yeah, it would have been a different story if you had them.

^^nah that wasn’t me. The chick reached into the front of my pants and ripped out my stash. I just gave her a “c’mon” look and walked on. That sucks you didn’t make it in Icc, Piper–>Sneakin Sally was pretty damn sick.

^oh yeah, the lot after the show was insane. Incredibly depressing. Trash everywhere, among other things. I know I’ve told the story on here a few times about being 10 feet away from some crazy homeless guy with an automatic rifle, who was getting yelled at by some hippie chicks. We seriously thought he was gonna start blasting.

We ended up taking the rest of the shrooms and tripping all night during the drive to Vermont. Sheesh that was a crazy idea. Just a lot of laughing, I guess. Good times.

Thought the two best shows of the ‘phinal’ tour were back to back. 8/11 and 8/12. Had a great time at this show, but I do agree with some of the above posts that this should have been the last YEM.

Mail Order hooked me up with 12th row center for this show. Best seats i have ever gotten (without being stubbed down). The Maze>Catapult>Maze was great. It is also an underrated Wilson, IMO.

Second set got a bit sloppy (see Limb by Limb and Cavern), but overall this was a great show.

woot for camden, see ya’ll 6/7/09 for the return

I love every YEM equally. Except for the ones that I love better, but that is of no consequence.
