Sorry guys, I spoke to this too soon… Rift is probably the best overall Phish album. Best lyrics, balance, most complete, even the best album art. Very awesome album. I wish there were more My Friend, My Friends and the like live. Maze definitely got its share of play, though.

BEST Phish studio album. It makes '93 compete with years like '97. I have always loved '93.

For me the the thing Rift has going for it is that it is consistant. It seems like as far as song being good or bad there are not a many peaks and valleys on this album whereas on some other albums for me some songs I absolutly love, and some I think are allright. Rift I think they are all pretty good. Nothing really good, nothing really adverage either though.
Rift definately grew on me,but in my opinion it is the best representation of them playing live as any of the studio albums go. it’s def in my top 3 and I don’t think I could pick just one out of those three. always loved lengthwise I wish they woulda opend hampton with that into fluffhead or somthing?
Rift used to be my least favorite by far. I even deleted it out my iTunes to free up some space (I still had the CD) and I didn’t listen to any of this album for a couple years. Then I started to get really into '93. I have most shows from the year on my external hard drive right now (1993-02-20 is my favorite). But then, tonight, I smoked a bowl and put on my headphones and put on Rift. I’m super blazed and loving Rift. Almost done with Horn now.

Finishing off the album this morning, went to bed after Mound last night. This ending is phenomenal. I feel that Rift definitely is much better listened to completely. It’s amazing. I would almost consider this to be one really long, epic song where the tracks are only delineating the sections of the song Rift. The album is a song, man…
This is totally a concept album.
Rift is amazingly amazing. Listened to it today in my car, made it up to Weigh, and now I’m repeating last night’s listening. 
Fluffy + Headphones + Rift + Cannabis = 
Rift is beautiful. By far my favorite Phish album. I love every song on it. 
It has a groove, flow and madness that I just haven’t found anywhere else.
