anyone know what show this is from??

I’m gonna say fall 96. And for a giggle i’ll say 11-11-96!

If i remember correctly Trey wore this same shirt every night of fall 97. This one.

trey wore the Mickey and Peppy alot fall 98. I don’t remember Marvin off the top.

^you can see the neck hair!!

neck!!

Herr Necklace!

I feel like Marvin was deffinately around Summer '96, i.e. rememebering the Ball and Deer Creek.

^Yeah me too.

Not the shirt; I mean Marvin the actual Martian.

I’m thinking the original picture might be later than y’all are thinking. Like winter '03 maybe.

I noticed that Fish’s drums are in the background. That would suggest post hiatus, since Fish and Trey were always at least a Mike apart, prior to hiatus #1.

^correct

could it be from the SNL appearance? I still never saw any of that…

There is no way that Trey wore a Marvin Martian shirt to anything after 2000…

… I realize he wore a Fishman t-shirt to Burgettstown '03, but still…

tell me Neil, why is there “no way”?

OK, it could be Trey and 70VP at Higher Ground on 3/1/05…

u think they’ll have a new stage setup for the new era?

i kind of thinking they may return to the old setup, then again i was kind of thinking they would keep it the same

what say u?

I think there’s a thread about this. I totally want the 4-across setup to come back, w Fish on the right.

And I want my old SnowSpeeder toy back from when I was a kid too, and I want my favorite pizza place to last forever and never ever change.

I know Trey wore a Pepe Le Pew shirt during Fall '97, because the pictures in Live Phish 11 show him wearing it. Plus the funk flowing that tour was some stanky sheeee-it. In a good way.

well here’s what I notice…

look closely at the 'doc he’s playing. The inlays are Paul’s large block inlays. This is how his first koa languedoc was inlaid, which he used from phall '96 (only on a few songs) until 2003, not sure if these are the same guitars or just inlaid the same way. VERY unlikely it’s phall '96 because he only used the koa in hartford for a song and in a couple of other shows none of which is 11/11/1996. in 2004 you can see in he is using a koa 'doc with the side bar inlays. Take a look at the first picture on the phishpics link and you’ll see the blocks I’m talking about. the next picture shows the side bar inlays I’m talking about. This eliminates 2004 from contention, as does his hair, he was rocking the short hair that makes him look like clapton around both “final” tours.
Also, Trey rocked the distinctive bowl throughout phall '98, definitely not this picture. He seems pretty fucked up on something that kills pain (i would know) which suggests it’s not 1997. Some other interesting shirts are on that phishpics place… jah volunteer from shoreline 98, mickey from winston salem 98 i believe and another from vegas 98, pep

It’s definitely 70VP on 3/1/05.

let me ask this, why does the OP care what show that picture is from?

say we found out, “hey it’s xx/xx/xxxx” what is that information going to do for the OP? Are the secrets to life found within the show from that picture, whats the dealio with caring about what show a specific picture came from?

probably just curiosity.

yeah, my curiosity, specifically. it doesnt really “matter.” i dont come here cause it’s the most meaningful use of my time, just to talk about things to do with Phish that the general population usually doesn’t care much about. if its a waste of your time, sorry about that
