Well, most people know how this old adage actually ends, but this morning on my way to drop Nick off at the kennels, I thought about the last time I walked around DC in the late 60s and what my “frame of mind” was at the time. And that thought led me to this phrase which we made more ‘appropriate’ for the culture we lived in at the time, by choosing a very different qualifier to the end of it.
But there can be many ways to finish this phrase, and on my way out this morning, I challenge any of you to finish it anew, any way that you think might make it a wise, or wisecrack, adage.
Anything worth doing, is worth doing…
