^Ummm, wow…
That might be the best thing coming out of Cleveland football since Kosar retired…

Thanksgiving chaos and the first meaningful Lions game in a decade or more. What fun.
Overall I don’t see the Lions pulling it out. They have to play a good game in all facets and they haven’t been solid in all facets in a while especially special teams. Only way we have a chance is if we somehow keep the score somewhat low…I doubt we can keep up in a shootout.
Overall, that Carolina game was huge as a win. They were 6-3 and had this schedule:
Carolina
Packers
@Saints
Vikings
@Raidahs
Chargers
@Packers
I think 10 wins gets you a wild card so we needed four more wins out of that group. The only “bad” teams on that list are Carolina and Minnesota so those are absolute MUST wins. After those, we need two more wins. I don’t see us beating the Packers and I have a feeling we lose to the Saints (moved to Sunday night!) next week too and will be 7-5. Our next wins likely have to be at Oakland as we can hopefully pressure Palmer into mistakes. After that, it’ll probably have to be that home game against the Chargers…they’re not playing so well but when they’re on, they’re tough to handle.
Of course there could be loophole in that last game…if the Pack does lose a game and goes into that game 14-1, maybe they’ll bench their players and give us a freebie win. Which in typical Lions fashion, they’ll lose anyway. Oh well.
Will somebody please just beat the fucking packers.
Probably will not happen this week, but I AGREE! ![]()
Ug…
Packers Schedule:
@Lions
@Giants
Oakland
@KC
Chicago
Lions
I don’t see a loss in any of those. But at the same time, all of them will be “getting up” for the Pack. I would hope this applies tomorrow but since the Pack has been hearing about this game for weeks, wouldn’t they “get up” for it too? Ug.
Our last hope may be Saints@Packers in the playoffs. Or maybe the Super Bowl…
That kids face is awesome, that day was probably the best day of his short life.
Well…halftime at the Lions game and we’re done. Moving the ball, killing ourselves with penalties, dumb INT. We had our shot and blew it. Oh well.
Well Suh, that was truly embarrassing. ![]()
^Eh, game was over by then. One dumb move in a game full of dumb moves. I’m far more pissed at the endless holding calls that killed drive after drive in the first half…that’s when we lost the game. Either way, Suh’s a dumby. Perhaps a suspension can get into his head.
And how appropriate that Kevin Smith leaves the game on a cart. Of COURSE he does. Heaven forbid the Lions ever get a decent run game ever. Mikel LeShoure tears an ACL before ever playing a game, Jahvid Best has his third concussion and will probably be done and now Kevin Smith today. You could say it’s karma but it’s been going on for a decade or more now. Curse of Barry, apparently, though I’m not sure how we earned that one.
The LIONS are PATHETIC!
I’ve said it all year it holds even more true today, a complete JOKE…
Thugs, led by an idiot coach…

Is “Nuke” still a problem in Detroit these days?
Nuke? You mean Al Nuke?
lol, robocop.
Oh…heh. The worst was that stuff about Detroit supposedly getting a Robocop statue or something. For one, I’m not even sure that many folks here like those movies and for two, it’s a bit insulting since the only reason they chose Detroit for that movie is because of the crime problem. Silliness. But then again, that’s Detroit for ya.
Wondering if Jim Schwartz was the DC in Tennessee when Haynesworth performed his own stomp? He’s had some rough DT’s.
^He most certainly was but The Schwartz may have to improve his coaching with Suh. Clearly Suh’s stomp missed that Packer player’s head by quite a lot. He’ll coach up his aim a little better next time.
Boy, it’s sure fun talking about the actual games, eh?
I got Tebow beating the Chargers! Who’s with me!?
i’m with you!
also, nfl.com is. i just went to check out some tebow highlights, and this was the front page…

just a question. And that happened in a game, and we’re talking about it.
Wishing the Eagles Pats game was in primetime, and sucks that Ocho is out. I like him even though he’s failing this year. Also I think this is the first week without any byes so that’ll be cool.
Go Vikes, looking for improvement from Ponder ![]()
Kick suh outta the league. What a loser
Yes, but there was a remarkable lack of talk of actual football around here…especially when there were two more exciting games that same day. Let’s get this thing focused, baby!
Ick, no! We’ve had enough awful late night games this year…no way was Vince Young winning that game. I was still pissed that CBS gave me that game instead of the Denver/SD game…I was watching Bears/Oakland the whole time. At least CBS wisened up and cut away to give us the Denver ending so I could get my weekly dose of Tebow goodness.
And wow, did John Fox try desperately to blow that game. Has three timeouts at the end and doesn’t call any to get his team the ball back, has two 4th and 1’s near midfield in OT and a really big QB who easily can get 1 yard and he punts both times, then he calls a timeout on the last SD field goal when he had only one left and with 2:30 left in the game! And yet the power of Tebow overcomes all of Fox’s wimpy coaching. The miracle continues!!
Blarg. I’m angry at them for fantasy purposes. First Harvin gets a 103 yard return and somehow DOESN’T score and then he can’t punch it in at the end. Blllaaarrrgg. I needed those points. Oh well, at least he did decent.
So, do you think the Jags made a good choice to bench Gabbert against Houston?
Wow, lots of good close early games too. Comebacks by Arizona, Cincy, Tennessee and NYJ. And the Rams lose because of a Patrick Peterson punt return AGAIN…ouch. Chaos!
