Hoping Cleveland makes it a game tonight. And wondering how the Browns think of Colt. Their offense is making small strides with Greg Little and McCoy, but they just can’t seem to make any plays. At least this game should be better than next weeks Monday night game.

Ah, I see Jared Allen is continuing the Viking fan tradition of saying stuff they don’t actually believe to get a rise out of Lions fans. Must be a way to cope with their crappy record.

Sorry dude, but I blocked him and I haven’t read a single thing he’s posted in about three weeks now. I’m not kidding…I even told this to him in a PM and told him I’m deleting his future PMs without reading them which is exactly what I did. If he’s still posting anti-Lions garbage then that’s on him because you will notice I haven’t reacted or responded or quoted anything he’s done recently in ANY thread. The VERY reason I did this was because it was annoying folks and ruining this thread. My last post was reacting to Jared Allen because he pulls this act in press conferences a LOT…he’s like a WWF wrestler (I can still make fun of the Vikings, you know…the Lions ARE playing them this week, you know. Even so, that picture I quoted above was making fun of Favre, not the Vikings. Maybe I’ll just avoid mentioning them altogether.) I don’t care what Mr. Insky posts because I don’t think any of it is genuine…he clearly was just posting to get a rise out of me and it was certainly working but no longer. This is the last I’m going to mention him because the more I do, it gives him exactly what he wants. It’s sad because I don’t know what happened to him this year…I looked at old threads and he used to barely post in these sports threads. Either way, I’m done with him.

By the way, they can only flex the Sunday Night games, not MNF. I guess they figured they can’t switch the day of the game because fans going to it on Sunday might not be able to go if it’s suddenly switched to Monday.
And McCoy…sheesh. I REALLY liked that dude in college and thought he should have won a Heisman…but he looks like he’s gotten a bad case of the Harringtons. Joey was so good in college but guys like that get so worried about making mistakes in the pros that they change how they play and stop doing all the things that made them good in the first place. Joey just wasn’t the same guy he was in college and Colt looks the same way. Plus it’s the type of offense…Joey was put in a West Coast system and Colt seems to be in this short-pass system and neither seems to work for them.
biggest problem for him is a non-existent o-line.
^Joey had that problem too. Might lead to a QB getting “happy feet” and always being concerned of getting sacked so that ruins them too.
I thought the Packers/Bears game at the end of the season would maybe be a good stopper to the Packers, but alas it seems Caleb Hanky will probably not be able to muster up many points for them. Never thought I would say that Jay Cutler is a difference maker but he is for them now. It’s amazing how QBs like Cutler and Romo can be at different ends of the spectrum and suck so bad some games and then look like Marino out there during others.
As for my Eags, let’s go top 5 Draft Pick! Woo! While Andy Reid is a fine coach, having a Super Bowl caliber team almost every year and not getting it done for 13 seasons just may warrant a firing. It’s mostly the arrogance about him and the Eagles front office that Eagles fans don’t like because it’s usually the same result every year. The hiring of the offensive line coach, who never coached any facet of D in college or pros as defensive coordinator, is a typical Andy Reid- I’m Smarter-Than-Everyone-Else move and it fucking backfired along with everything else this season.

So true. Though Cutler was on a nice streak of great games in a row until his injury. Bad timing for that. You can probably throw Vick and Hasselbeck in that group too. And shockingly, Rivers may be one of those now. Maybe Matt Ryan too.
And I’ll never figure out that D-coordinator move for Philly. Wow. They got all those players and never thought of who to coach them. Even worse that Wade Phillips was available and they didn’t nab him. He might not be a great head coach but he’s performing miracles in Houston. #30 defense last year is now #2.
Vick is only as good as the defense that is playing him now. I think the consensus is out for the most part about how to D him up nowadays unless it is an inferior defense. He has gotten a lot better in the pocket when it is not collapsing and he is forced to run and injure himself constantly. Philip Rivers is elite, just a bad season for him and I think Matt Ryan will still end up being a better QB than Romo or Cutler.

I just find it funny how when the LIONS were winning, I was not blocked and it was game on with Stevieboy, they start losing and I’m blocked because I picked on the lions… LMAO… 
I simply PM’ed Stevieboy and told Stevieboy to relax on the molested boy jokes, as I found them tasteless… 
If this makes me a malicious and bad person, then fuck it, I am what I am but unless you have kids, I am assuming there are no kids involved in Stevieboys life, I guess you would not understand what I mean…

I’d say that the Tampa Bucs from 1999-2002 basically invented the Vick blueprint and it’s never changed. He was always so good then…then he’d run into the Bucs in the playoffs and it was over.
He;s got elite skills but not elite leadership. He’s got the Marino thing where every INT he throws he never his fault. Every time Marino threw one he’d start bitching at a lineman or receiver and I see that from Rivers. Cutler had this too for a while but I think he’s definitely gotten smarter about it as he gets older so he doesn’t do it anymore.
Maybe but we’ve got to see it. Even with that awesome year last year he seemed lackluster and they often won with a solid run game and solid D. Now those are fading a bit this year and it’s showing with the record. A good QB would have easily won that Houston game last week. You could be right but I don’t trust him.

I’m going to the Lions-Vikes game today. I can think of hundreds of other things I’d rather be doing (like absolutely nothing), but I’m going to spend time with my Dad and as he took me to probably 50+ Phish shows that he’d prefer to not go to when I was a kid I figure I can suck it up for one afternoon.
