Alright you ninnies. That’s all you got? The guys drop giant balls on us their first show back and this is your response? Get off your assess fer chrise sake.
#3 During Fee, everyone has to lift up their shirt and the person next to them takes this piece of paper and…no, that’s just going to be messy…
How about
#3 During Fluffhead…only if Trey sings Fluffballs…we all throw cotton balls or small plush toys in the air…
You’d just have to put a handful of cotton balls or a little stuffed animal in your pocket before you go in. Those things do have other uses too you know.
Sorry…that’s kind of lame, but this is tough.
We all rage for Mike’s Song…Then all sit down for Hydrogen (take in the beauty and get a breather)…Then get back up and rage for Weekapaug.
We need to all remember the Moma Dance. The first time they played it (instead of BEK) Trey explained the Moma Dance. I think you just tap your foot like once or something silly like that.
This is hard. I’ll have to keep thinking.
Truffle Shuffle during the Mule Duel?
I like the sit down during Hydrogen. That would probably look pretty interesting from the stage. We can definitely steal ideas from the secret language. Any thoughts on a song segment where we could turn our backs to the stage and cheer at the sound board?
i was thinking laughing like a madman during the pauses between jams in “meat” would be cool. but turning around and cheering the soundman would be pretty cool there too.
how often do you think they are gonna bust out a meat? good ideas though.
edit- i may as well stay on topic. how about we all twirl around during the charge in YEM and then jump up at the BOY.
I keep thinking Backwards Down the Number line, but I don’t know which segment.
#1: Can we sticky this?
#2: Running in place during Jim. -Good Exercise.
#3: Zoo animal noises at some point in Slave.
#4: Mooing after Llama for pure randomness.
#5: We should make a new dance: The Split Open A Melt.
I love the hum and sitting ideas. I also will be going apeshit during the laughing part in My Friend, My Friend.
This is a great thread.
How about the first time he say’s “Backwards?”
Turn around “Backwards” facing the other way of the stage?
something i tried to do at hampton but nobody was playing along:
when they finish reba, start the whistling part since they obviously don’t do it a whole lot anymore. i think that would be the best way to get the band to listen to us
I was listening to DS on the way into work this morning, and when it came time for the pause, I imagined what it would be like to have the crowd doing the low Monk chant, and that idea would the sweet. It would really go great with the beginning of the song when Mike does sorta the same thing.
So my vote goes for the Monk chant during DS.
^I did the same thing yesterday and was thinking about all of us singing the Oh Kee Pa ceremony during the break.
DS is a Gamehendge dancing ceremony, I believe…
How does one sing the Oh Kee Pa Ceremony?
“Dah dum da-da da-da da-da da-da dum,
Dah dum da-da da-da da-da da-da”
i wonder about that too. it was one of the only phish songs mike did with his band. maybe he’s gonna keep it for that.
Thought of another one on the way home.
Idea: Sing the first two verses of Amazing Grace when the guys bow after Tweezer Reprise.
Comments: I was thinking about how cool the ending of Feerless sounds on Pink Floyd’s Meddle. It’s a soccer team singing their anthem - You’ll Never Walk Alone. So, I was debating what we could do that would be Phish appropriate. Amazing Grace. And what better time to do it than right after an intense show-closing Tweezer Reprise. The bow will be our cue.
Keep up the good work fellas. I’ll keep this running for a couple more weeks and then compile ideas.
Maybe we could get some sort of fist pump/ throwing of hands into the air, during The Curtain. Maybe on ‘south’ during ‘we follow the lines going south’ part
