i was thinking laughing like a madman during the pauses between jams in “meat” would be cool. but turning around and cheering the soundman would be pretty cool there too.
something i tried to do at hampton but nobody was playing along:
when they finish reba, start the whistling part since they obviously don’t do it a whole lot anymore. i think that would be the best way to get the band to listen to us
I was listening to DS on the way into work this morning, and when it came time for the pause, I imagined what it would be like to have the crowd doing the low Monk chant, and that idea would the sweet. It would really go great with the beginning of the song when Mike does sorta the same thing.
So my vote goes for the Monk chant during DS.
Idea: Sing the first two verses of Amazing Grace when the guys bow after Tweezer Reprise.
Comments: I was thinking about how cool the ending of Feerless sounds on Pink Floyd’s Meddle. It’s a soccer team singing their anthem - You’ll Never Walk Alone. So, I was debating what we could do that would be Phish appropriate. Amazing Grace. And what better time to do it than right after an intense show-closing Tweezer Reprise. The bow will be our cue.
Keep up the good work fellas. I’ll keep this running for a couple more weeks and then compile ideas.
Maybe we could get some sort of fist pump/ throwing of hands into the air, during The Curtain. Maybe on ‘south’ during ‘we follow the lines going south’ part
How about this: during the “WOOOO” shouts in ‘Twist’, all the audience does a pirouette – they put their hands on their heads and spin around on one foot a full 360 degrees. So we all, y’know, twist in unison…
I was out of the country for a little while, nice to see this thread still moving along. I’ll start wrapping it up in a week or so. Throw down your final thoughts and I’ll compile them for a vote.
