August 1-8 Jerry Week

Don’t forget how Jerry saved Chapelle and the boys in Half Baked. What a great guy.

gonna go see Crazy Fingers (best GD cover band on earth from right here in Broward County) tonight at this bar down the street from my house.

this bar is not nearly as cool as the pier they used to play at but they usually go off on Jerry Week.

I’m glad Will reminded me of 03-02-81. I had forgotten that I had a copy, and I’ve been playing it whenever possible throughout the day. Great show, great AUD. Thanks Jerry.

walked in on the middle of the 2nd set. They were playing the most energetic and rowdy “Ramblin’ Rose” i’ve ever heard; real Dead or cover. I got a beer and me and my friend went in to the groove zone for the rest of the song which was followed by an absolutely insane Help>Slipknot>Let It Grow with some of the most on fire jamming i’ve ever heard out of Crazy Fingers even considering the keyboard player being absent and with t new guitar player replacement in the past few months. They were on tonight. The encore was the new guitar player (a member of the Crazy Fingers bluegrass incarnation “Grass Is Dead”) saying “Okay, here’s one for Jerry” and right into a big old singalong “He’s Gone” which ended with the drummer alone on stage and the crowd clapping along singing “oooohhhhooooo nothings gonna bring him back” for about 5-10 minutes alone.

damn. The best its been since they shut down the pier. And a great crowd all groovin’ hard and singing along at the top of their lungs. Great night.

thanks Jerry.

Cool man. I think I saw that band once while visiting my friend at Florida Atlantic Univ.
