Austin City Limits

Quite a diverse group of headliners, eh? I always thought it was a hipster/indie-leaning festival but that might be SXSW im thinking of. The lineup seems like a decent mix. Here ya go TX peops, ya finally got another one…

:astonished:

nice pull texas, now quit your whining

hahaha The Verve Pipe

…“we were only freshmen”

I got you in my photograph, Villians

Pretty sweet…me thinks I shall acquire a one day pass for Friday

Am I the only one who thinks it’s completely bogus that they announced this after 3 day passes have sold out? I mean it could be to cater mostly to the texans but still, that state is huge and driving 12 hours or more for a single 2 hour festival set is weaksauce. Red light is starting to piss me off.

^I’m pretty sure it’s just to give the band a little more buzz. I don’t really consider it any more “bogus” than a late night appearance or guesting at another band’s show. It’s just one of those non-sequitor, random Pish appearances.

Like you said, it’s probably gonna be a one set deal and driving all the way out there for that probably ain’t worth it for most Phish phans (especially driving through Arizona and Texas! ). But, then again, maybe that was the point. I wouldn’t drive out there for Muse or the Lips, either.

Don’t sweat it. There will be plenty of opportunity to see Phish.

^^ They have always done their tickets that way.

Anyone think they will announce more Texas dates around this? Too early for Fall tour?

have fun! I’m waiting for east coast hard core!

Sounds like a blast. Outta my price range though, bring that southeast tour!

This festival sounds like a major clusterfuck! Yikes!

Austin is such an awesome city.

^ Austin is really awesome!

I went to Austin City Limits to see Panic in 2000 over Halloween. It was hot. Lots of concrete. More walking. Do I love Phish? Yes. Do I love Texas? No. Would I save the money? Yes.

^ will single day passes be available for a while or what Cari?..if i can save up and still be able to get a single day i might be down…but methinks we might get a southeast Fall tour, so i’d rather throw the funds that direction

I am thinking that this could just be an isolated appearance not tied in to any “fall tour” of sorts. I have heard great things about Austin…I think I sill “steer” clear of Texas though. Plenty of great Phish this fall.

Miami Halloween!

Born to Run costume!

Just now starting to piss you off? God, they’ve been pissing me off since Phish came back. But I just have to keep telling myself, “At least Phish is back.” It helps, but I still can’t stand Red Light.

EDIT: Wow, just read that list of artists… and it’s absolutely horrible. There’s only three bands I would see there: Phish, JJ Grey/Mofro, and Trombone Shorty/Orleans Avenue.
