Thats a big tour. I’ll be seeing them at Langerado. I’ve been listening to their last two albums a lot, and everyone in my house is just in love with Emotionalism. Definately one of the most underrated albums of 2007.

I’m with you GR. Emotionalism has been in my car almost exclusively since I bought it…minus the 3 week Billy Breathes kick I got on, but I digress. It’s a really great album for sure. The girl who rides to clinicals with me doesn’t listen to my kinda music but even she likes it, especially Weight of Lies. I went a little nuts and bought 5 of their albums a couple of months ago and I love them all. 4 Theives Gone is probably second fave with Mignonette a close 3rd. Can’t wait to see them at Langerado when I’m actually familiar with their material.

Good band, great album. I can’t believe how ambitious their tour is. Too bad no Chicago.

How did it go??!! SO bummed out I won’t be going to Langerado because it means I dont’ get to see them :frowning:

show was awesome. i haven’t gotten that drunk in a long time, lol. the music was A++. i’ll give the setlist a B+ because i was hoping they would play more songs off of mignonette and a carolina jubilee. but the house was rocking during their entire set.

my only criticism was that the show was less than 90 minutes with the encore. i could’ve raged to these guys all night.

I LOVE Mignonette. It’s in car cd player right now and has been for a couple of weeks now. “You just got sprayed with turkey shit!”

Short shows are the only downside to these guys. I don’t think they ever play up to 90 minutes. Their tunes rarely pass the 5 minute mark and they don’t seem to be much on exploratory jamming. They could almost play 3 of their albums in 90 minutes, so I think that probably has something to do with it. They also don’t take a set break, so it’s just one continuous set. Trey was doing that some the last few outtings, I think. Not that short of a set, but just one long one and then goodnight. It definitely blows, but think about how much they energy they expend during that hour and a half!
