I can’t call myself a true fan b/c I have not heard the famed “Murat Gin.” I can, however, call myself a massive tool. Why doesn’t the 6/28/00 version get more love???!!

Nice intro…jam is awfully noisy and chaotic, though. that type of jam should be saved for another song; “Gin” is a straight-up wall of sound rocking song

I think the Hampton Comes Alive version is very, very good. Albeit it is short, but from about 7:45 through 12:00 or so, it is the best jamming that HCA offers. Page is very active (like most “Gin” jams!

I’m all about the Island Tour! Trippy ass Piano, Phat Jam, Can’t get ne better. I can say Bathtub Gin is my favorite song to Jam out to in the Shower, hands down!

i don’t want to start a new thread for this one so i’ll throw it in here because the bathtub opener is pretty nice… anyway, the 6.30.99 on etree right now is one of the few 99 auds that is good enough to keep around. its got that in your face sound… page and mike come through really well - really full - comparable to some of the europe 97 club auds. anyway, grab it. (btw, the vocals come in soft at first but the taper adjusts it pretty quickly… )

i’ve only listened to bathtub through tube, but, so far, i’m one happy zapatista.

first post…looked at this site way too much without actually signing up so i did…as far as gin, the went blows my mind every time i hear it. the way the jam goes after about 11 min into the song is amazing. first in my book by far
