Best Deer Creek show

For all of you who have heard all or most of the Deer Creek shows, just wondering which one you think is the best. And maybe some explanations.

Here they are, to refresh your memory.

8.12,13.96
8.10,11.97
8.2,3.98
7.25,26.99
7.10,11,12.00
7.21,22,23.03
6.23,24.04

I myself have not heard 7.26.99. I have both 97 shows, but havenā€™t given them enough time to really form an opinion.

Most of these shows are very, very good.

My favorites are 8.13.96, 8.2.98, 7.25.99, and 7.11.00.

If I had to pick one, it would probably be 7.25.99, surprisingly. It is just a flat out great fucking show, containing many surprise songs, excellent, spacy 99 jams, and just overall is very satisfying for me. It has a similar feel to 7.11.00, in which the band seems very laid back and just plain having fun out there. Finally, the Suzy Greenberg in this show is unlike any you will hear!! Page-tastic!

For me, its very hard to compare the post-hiatus shows with the pre-hiatus ones. But when I try, I just canā€™t put any of them in with the four I picked out, although 7.22.03 and 6.24.04 come very close.

We may have done this before, but peopleā€™s opinionā€™s are constantly being influenced. I want to see what the OKP thinks right now.

my fave right out of the gate is 8-13-96, but the only other shows ive heard are the 04 shows and the 00 shows.

and i already know which show G2K is gonna pickā€¦

I bet at least one of those 97 shows would be in my favorites if I gave them an attentive listen.

Gotta say 7/11/00.

8-10-97 just edges out 7-11-00 for me. I only saw 1 show at Deer creek that i was very dissapointed with and that was 7-10-00. The creek was not to be missed for Phish or the Dead!

07/11/00 is the top one for me.

Out of shows I actually saw there, it would have to be 07/22, or 07/23, 2003.

My vote goes to 7/11/00. Just awsome.
I saw the 97,98,99,00 shows there. and out of all of them 7-11-00 takes the cake. Donā€™t get me wrong, every one of those shows has ā€œthat momentā€ for me, but 7-11 as a whole ranks as the best Phish show that I have seen.

I knew it was only a matter of time before this thread was created (following on the heels of the ā€œFavorite Alpine Valley Showā€).

Of the 17 shows, Iā€™ve heard all but 6-19-95, 8-12-96, and 8-11-97.

My top 3:

2000-07-11 for me with 1999-07-25 in a close second. the moby dick show is one of the better two set shows they played, in my mind. i really like the mfmf -> my left toe -> whipping post from the second one.

I might be inclined to say that the ā€œCitiesā€ jam is the most overrated pre-hiatus Phish jam ever!
To me, anyway.

I just canā€™t get into it. But I may need to take another listen.
