fucking fuck AC/DC and may they burn in hell
You take that back right now!
“Walk” by Pantera.
… and headbanging does indeed suck.
“Du Hast” by Rammstein
such a heavy 3 chords
I actually saw Rammstein back in '98 or '99 on Family Values Tour…
They are the epitome of teh ghey.
Of course head-banging and heavy metal suck!
…that’s why they are funny! Heavy metal is such insignificant music that it makes me laugh. And, nothing like a short head-banging session to mock another stupid, unoriginal hard rock band!
Doesn’t anybody else have the kind of sense of humor I do??
I like heavy metal for its sucky stupidity also.
That, and I grew up on it. I was like ten when all those true classic 80s metal albums came out. 1983-1985 was prime time for at least the popular, less heavy, heavy metal. But I got into Metallica around '88, immersed myself in the early albums, saw the Justice tour, and got the hell out.
Outside of Metallica, I never got into any bands where the drums and the vocalist are competing for the ‘most noisily frenetic and angry sounding’ trophy.
My tendency was toward VH, AC/DC, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Twisted Sister, Def Leppard, etc. I still enjoy all that music too, despite it’s inherently ridiculous nature.
“Blackened” from …And Justice For All is my poison when I want to hurt my head by banging it. Man. Metal health will drive you mad.
Oh c’mon!!! Highway to Hell!!!
Metal can be great, even amazing (ahem, tool)
If put in the right peoples hands.
Unsung by Helmet!
I just fucking head banged sooo hard to Maze from 06-07-95. hahaha!
I head-bang to the 9.29.99 Mikes—>every vocal song–>Weekapaug occasionally.
that is just ridiculous
I’ve caught myself doing a little head-bang action to a really good Axilla a time or two…does that count?
If not that, then anything by Sabbath or Sonic Youth pretty much…oh, and Filler by Minor Threat.
And everytime it comes on…it’s automatic - “You May be Right” by Billy Joel. I find myself doing that motion without even meaning to.
haha… I’m hardcore… head banging to Billy Joel.
In a purest sense of the term, I would assume one doesn’t truly head bang to Phish. That being said, shit, I head bang to tons of Phish. Why just yesterday I was doing it to a Tweeprise encore from a 94 show. It’s almost automatic for me to do it especially to a Tweeprise encore since the one from the Island Tour 4/3/98 if permanently burned into my memory. All I see is Trey dancing around the stage banging his own head as he built that song to an incredible finish.
I used to be huge into all that music, thanks to my older brother. I fondly remember being out with him and his friends, and they jammed out to Pantera for hours straight, banging heads, moshing with each other, etc…
Anyway, the next morning, I woke up and couldn’t move my neck at all. Stiff as a board! And it f’n hurt like a bastard. That was the end of that. Since then, no more head banging for me. That was about 15 years ago or so.
So I guess my vote would go to anything by Pantera.
I guess I only really did that once. I saw that one Metallica show and yeah, I was pretty stiff the next day. But man did I have fun. That was one spectacularly enjoyable concert. Queensryche opened, and they were touring the original Mindcrime at the time. They were even better than Metallica.
These days my head banging doesn’t get much more violent than Mike Gordon’s head bob.
she used to be mine-brooks and dunn
“Seasons in the Abyss” by Slayer is my favorite head-banging song.
^great choice.
i masturbate furiously to this song tri-weekly.
sorry, sloth.
love,
neck. :-*
