only got the chance to hit up 3 shows but i heard a lot of good shit in those select concerts…however, i would have loved to hear a reba and a mcgrupp…not to mention a whole load of other songs but those are the first two on my list that i have not heard
You Enjoy Myself.
Lizards, sigh, lizards
Coil, I never got a Coil…
Same here…
I like everything after '92.
on 2/3/93 I was
3 years old. By the end of '98 I was 9.
sigh
I second this and add that I’ve never heard a Horse->SIlent
And the thing is, I was at that monster show 2/28/03 at Nassau Coliseum, and right after the Bowie in the second set, Trey begins to strum the opening notes to The Horse, but then stops, talks to the band, and they decide to do Round Room instead, and then finish the set with Hood.
I’m still convinced that if they had done the Horse->Silent as Trey wanted, I wouldn’t have heard another Hood (heard it four days earlie at Continental Arena), but instead, they would have gone into the Antelope closer that I was hoping for.
i really can’t complain…i would have liked some rarities like harpua/icculus/sanity/destiny/etc…but i caught plenty of rare shit that blew my mind…especially in the covers department…sexual healing, sabotage (twice), quinn, after midnight, tubthumping (kidding)…and the one that made me never wish for or beg for another song again: on your way down…i’d wanted to hear em play that for as long as i knew they’d ever played it, and i never thought i’d hear em play it…but then i did…man i love phish
TELA!!!
Cracklin Rosie
Those are two I really really wanted to hear. Got all the other Gamehedge but never Tela.
Also 50 shows never got me a Papyrus.
- Alumni Blues
- If I could
- Have Mercy
I really really wanted to hear the best song in the world, I’v heard its tribute and its prety good
Actually I’v been to A LOT of shows and see just about everything and I always thought it was funny that the 1 encore that they play relativly frequently Highway to Hell has forever eluded me.
i never saw an antelope
^wow…that sucks
My first show was 10/30/92 and saw about 85 after that but I never saw Crosseyed & Painless or Jesus Left Chicago.
Forbin’s->Mocking bird. I don’t regret much, but my choice to skip the 12/31/95 show is one of the biggest of my life. You see, my first show was 12/30/95. I was 16, and had been into Phish’s music for about a year, but was only familiar with the studio releases. I had no concept of what a live Phish show was, or about the jam scene in general. I assumed live Phish was like any other concert, just a rehash of studio stuff but in a live setting. So when my buddy and I saw phish was playing 2 shows at MSG (i grew up in central jersey) we decided one show would be enough, and that 12.30 was the better option (we were concerned that dealing with New York City on new years eve would be too crazy) Talk about having regrets. Not only was it the closest I came to seeing Forbin’s->Mockingbird, but, well…I really don’t have to explain what happened that night. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now but pick up the official release and smack myself repeatedly in the head while it plays.
absolutely destiny unbound
If I Could is one I think about alot…I really wish they would’ve played this post-hiatus
Tela is another one, and lizards for that matter, and sloth…fuck
ummm…esther, harpua of course, mound, manteca, undermind, train song, dinner and a movie–any of those would realy make me happy
One song I’m really glad I saw (since it was the first time played since 98) was weigh in miami
that’s my jam
i just realized that i never saw some of the most popular songs in Phishtory (YEM, MIKE’S GROOVE, REBA, GHOST, SUZY, BAG)
^but you probably saw some other great stuff
